Why is Fresno state asking to create a ChatGPT account for us in the portal? Is this new?

It is labeled “Student terms and conditions for use of generative Al tools & Solutions” in the to do list section. Apparently, we’re suppose to agree to the terms but it is also asking to create an account for us?

It’s not every class, but I’d wager in at least half of the classes I’ve taken here, grades routinely take months to update. This semester alone, I didn’t have an accurate picture of my grades from the start. None of my lab grades were entered all semesters, I don’t even know how I did on my midterms in most of my classes this semester. I get that professors and TAs have a lot of work, but that’s the job.

As of right now I still don’t even know if I’m passing any of my classes this semester. I think I am but I don’t actually know. It’s led to so much unnecessary stress.

Planning on finishing some General ED and the next course in line for a minor. However, for summer intersession, the next class for the minor is offered at City College (not at State), while the most convenient General ED option is at Fresno State (no convenient times at City College). Would it cause any problems to attend different colleges at the same time for summer intersession?

I’m falling a bit behind in courses, but I couldn’t get in touch with my counselor on time. I’ve been trying to get as far as I can solo.

I recently took my final exam for Kines 165 and barely passed the class, however a lot of my peers did not and he took down his contact info what should they do? Also what happens if you don’t pass a class before graduation if it is a grad requirement?

Hello everyone! I am participating in one of the graduations tomorrow, but need to leave early to also attend the award show of a sibling. Are graduates allowed to leave early? I know several departments say to stay until the end once faculty leaves, but I fear that staying until the end would result in missing the award show! Would I be able to leave early, if so, what is the best way to leave without being an obvious disruption?

Hi im a 23yr old filo dude transferring for kines because I spent the last 2 years getting rejected from nursing programs while being a CNA lol. But I think it's about time I put nursing in a backburner for now while I pursue in career I am just as interested in and hash out the two.

I am moving to Clovis, found a much cheaper and very pretty lookin place (holy shit it's so cheap here). Im from Monterey county but im just as inclined to the bay area as it's my second home. Just wondering for those who are accustomed to those areas, how has this city and school been treating you? Im no stranger to the valley, but Fresno of all cities is one I haven't touched much on yet lol

This is my first semester at Fresno state after transferring from cc. I took a physics class and the professor is absolutely horrible. This has been my worst academic experience ever. I am wondering how he still has a job. Is it rare for school admin to investigate ?

Anybody moving out of their apartments/dorms soon. If so any good things you’re looking to get rid of? I’m looking on Facebook marketplace for moving sales or free furniture. I’m not sure where else to look. My mom and I love to get things secondhand. I would love outdoor furniture. Old jewelry. Anything that can be upcycled really !

With tuition increases, I am expected to pay 25k in student loans once I graduate- which is this Friday!

I didn’t qualify for aid, yet I am all on my own financially living with my parents. I recently had medical bills wipe my savings, and I am broke. Life is hard as is, and thought of these loans coming soon is heavy.

I plan on having a larger grad party in hopes to start some emergency savings with gifted money.

I have 2 jobs currently and have a nice internship lined up once I graduate. Any financial advice from someone with wisdom?

I know that it says we may have to pass a background check, health screening, etc. but does that include drug tests? Just wondering if any internship sites here may require that. Ill give up my herb if I have to but if not necessary then…
