just finished catching up after 4 years...

I was a freshman when I had first gotten into More Than a Married Couple, finishing from around chapter 57-59. I just graduated from highschool 3 months ago, and around the end of July, I thought I'd start re-reading and catching up. Last night, I finally caught up to Chapter 79. 3½-4 years of not reading, pondering about it, hoping to catch up on what would happen in the future, but never putting that foot down to actually do so, until now. Man, to say that I wasn't happy, laughing, crying, and feeling so many other emotions whilst reading, I'd be lying. I adore this manga wholeheartedly and it reminds me of the good times in highschool, despite me just graduating. Jirou and Akari are adorable throughout. Shiori, Minami, and the other characters grow for themselves and others around them. This manga is beautiful. Natsumi, Sachi, and Jun were my favorite minor characters, with even Terafune making it as one of my personal favorite minor characters as well. I can't wait for the new chapters to finally come out whenever they do. I just wanted to let this all out as my personal experience with this manga. Thank you.

My opinion on the anime finale

Hey everyone! I just finished the anime finale as of writing this and wanted to write out my opinion on it and the anime! Firstly, I love how the relationship between Jiro and Akari evolved from the start to the end of the show. In the beginning she hated his guts and now she is being a tsundere all around him. Personally, I didn't like the love triangle jiro was in with Akari and Shiori. I wish the ending had an answer to who he would choose to go out with. I know Shiori kissed him at the beach and he kissed akari in the practical. But I feel like he would have personally gotten along better with akari. But that's just my opinion on the anime!

What makes akari and jiro a good couple?

Me and a coworker were talking about this series and at one point he brought that he's glad akari and minami never end up a couple and that it's way better that akari got with jiro. That got me thinking why exactly would akari and minami not make a good couple? My only idea for this is that minami shows no interest in akari. But what makes akari an jiro a good couple, like specifically? Im not saying they shouldn't be together as i like the way they bounce off each other and how they support each other. For some context he's in a relationship im not and never have been so made hes speaking from experience? Idk

Help me understand please

So, i just read chapter 47(the one akari and shiori tell each other they’re the ones their special person loves). My question is -> akari knows that jiro loves shiori, but why shiori don’t know that jiro loves akari too? Like, what did i miss? Isn’t this the why she refused go along with the divorce?

Just finished the anime and I have questions

I binged the hell out of this series in two days. Didn’t like the idea at first, but halfway through episode one I was committed and it had a stranglehold on me.

That being said, I did have some plot and writing questions for fans of this series

Is the manga done better than the anime? I thought the directing and production of the anime was fantastic. But I felt the writing was a mess. I don’t know what else to describe this so please bear with me: it felt like there was no texture to the emotional journey. As soon as Akari showed interest in Jiro for the first time; it felt like there was a lack of proper transitions. A better way to say it is it felt like the anime had a set of events that had to happen and we were just connecting those events. For example; imagine 2 tsundere that acts like less of a tsundere and one acts more. I’m not saying play the trope. I’m saying commit to the thing you’re doing.

One example of this scene in this series was what they were hiding in the shed under the stairs on the beach. You know the seed is going from something erotic to something emotional to Jiro drawing back a little bit because of something Akari said. And somewhat on repeat. I felt that there just was not enough distinction between those moments. And to me that’s a writing issue. Thats just one example.

I’d also like to add there were times where I got some ‘School Days’ ptsd.

Finally please spoil this for me. Do Akari and Jiro end up together?

THEY FIXED THE AUDIO

After a few weeks of complaining to Crunchyroll. They did it. I checked the episode I stopped at to see if the audio was fixed and it was. I’m so happy I can finish this series now.
