Back again, got this thing wrapped up yesterday and out for a shake down. Busted my ass getting it all together in just under two weeks. Still waiting on a few non essential bits in the mail but here she is!

Hooking in to the rebuild.

Finally makin some progress on V2 of my TC FXR.

Unfortunately a lot of nice parts will be shelved. Changing out the janky adaptor setup for a full TC drivetrain. And while im at it, change forks, suspension, bars, motor setup, swingarm etc. Tins will stay tho!

Help diagnosing N indicator after M- unit install

First off, it’s an 88 FXRT. Splined shaft conversion trans with a Baker 6 DD cassette done professionally. It was converted using the original case. After the M-unit install I did, everything works correctly except for the N indicator on the cluster. Ive tried multiple switches, and I can get it to light just by touching the lead to the trans case when on, but not running through the switch. I don’t remember the neutral light ever working after I did the trans upgrade.
My first thought was maybe the wrong shift drum was being used, so I called Baker and they confirmed I had the correct drum in place. So I tried a few different top covers . Now I’m on to the switch, since I’ve Frankenstein’d this trans, I’m not sure what switch I should be using. The M-unit diagram shows a single post switch, which is what I have.
The whole thing seems to be just not mechanically changing the state of the switch.
One other thing , I do have 12v at the switch lead coming from the indicator light. So in my opinion wiring checks out. Any ideas? Or knowledge from anybody who’s dealt with this is appreciated. Happy FXRfriday!

Could use some help

Anyone knows why the jack shaft is not engaging. Was working intermittently, I took the pinion gear off to inspect put it right back on and now it's not working at all.
