Juts in case. You never know.
I am cleaning out a family basement. I am not sure what this stuff is. Is it worth looking into and attempting to sell or should I just toss it? Thanks in advance
Hi everyone! I'm an anthropology graduate student creating a small public-facing visual project about the ways people remain present through the objects they leave behind.
I'm interested in collectibles and everyday objects that carry visible traces of their history. Specifically, objects with visible wear, scratches, fading, repairs, handwritten notes, alterations, or simply...just old objects.
If you have something like this, PLEASE consider sharing a photograph and telling me a bit about its story/ the person who owned it! LIke...
I'm hoping to feature some of these photographs and stories in a small visual project website. I would only use your photograph and story with your permission, and you're welcome to remain anonymous or use a pseudonym.
I'm particularly interested in very ordinary details that show that someone was here before us. For example, have this old chef statue that I took from my grandmas collection when she passed. What I love is the visible marks she left on it (her handwriting, the fact that its chipped in some parts, etc.)
If youre down to share some photos/stories then please reach out!! Again, this is just a passion project i'm doing for fun in my free time because I love material studies~
Thanks for sharing!
The tissue is covering up the came of the Blockbuster my grandparents got it from.
Oops __ Joking looked up this sub instead of gmapantry because; beer and I should've known it was already here. I was trying "grandpa's yard"
