How was this not prosecuted as drink driving???

"lOOk WhAt hE diD to thIs POsh cAr 🤪"

He was out on the piss, crashed the car, fled the scene, avoided police so he couldn't be breathalysed and has a previous conviction for drink driving. I think it's pretty obvious to anyone with a functioning brain that he was drunk.

And yet the prosecutor says, presumably post-lobotomy, "there was no suggestion that the defendant was over the prescribed alcohol limit at the time of the crash.".

One day trip ferry Guernsey

Hello Guernsey people :)

I am a Spaniard man who will visit with my wife your beautiful island by ferry from Saint Malo the next 24rd August.

We both are delighted to discover everything about Víctor Hugo Life, German Occupation history and obviously Normandic heritage.

On the other hand, I am coin collector and I will bring a handful of british pennies coins which I would like to change by Guernsey and (why not) Jersey coins. How I can make it succesfully? Or even another collector who wants to swap with me these coins by another coins.

Any piece of advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advanced and see you soon :)

2 wedding witnesses needed (19th Aug) in St Peter Port!

My partner and I are travelling to Guernsey to get married and are looking for two lovely people aged 18+ who would be willing to act as our witnesses. We don't have any guests coming with us as we're eloping.

We'd be incredibly grateful if two people could spare a little time to help us out 😊. The whole ceremony should take around 10 minutes.

Early afternoon on Wednesday 19 August 2026, in St Peter Port.

If you might be able to help, please send me a message and I can give you the exact time and location. Thank you!

Trip to Guernsey but no ID card

Hello!

Me and my boyfriend (both french) will soon have some freetime, (in two weeks, it's very shortnoticed oops) and we would like to organize a little trip in Guernsey for our holidays.

My problem is, I lost my ID card. And even if I start the process now to have a new one, it won't be ready on time.

However, I have my passport and my driving licence, and i'll soon start the process for the ETA (today hopefully).

So, my question is: is it okay and possible to stay a few days in Guernsey if I only have my passport and the ETA but no ID card?

Thank you very much : )
