One Man Army vs One Man Police
Absolute Peak Democracy
The United Indian Nations was a military and political alliance of multiple tribes between 1783 and 1795. It included tribes from the Dakota Sioux in the west, to the Potawatomi, Odawa, and Ojibwe in the north, to the Lenape, Mingo, and Haudenasonee in the east, to the Chickamauga Cherokee and Upper Creek in the south. And was primarily coordinated by the Miami facing further genocidal invasion by Anglo-American settlers and the US government, with all tribes suffering massacres and violations of Treaties.
One of the things that makes it unique compared to other similarly sized nations in North America is the structure of consensus democracy and voluntary personal participation in wars and battles. The US still hasn't even gotten close to this level of personal freedom, even making opposition of the draft classified as speech not covered by the First Amendment.
It was so free, that countless slaves chose to escape to the Native American nations for protection and freedom, receiving full rights as citizens. And even Europeans like Texan independence hero Sam Houston chose to live with the Cherokee, instead of living in the US. Considering the culture of morality to be preferable to Anglo-American culture.
The US had opposed the freedom of anyone who wasn't a land owning, old, "White", man, as no one else had meaningful freedoms in the US government. With even "Paupers" and "Vagabonds" being excluded from interstate travel in the Articles of Confederation, and "Free Negro Laws" enslaving any free non-White person in some states simply for existence. Women had a prominent role in most Native Nations, commonly under a Matriarchal, Matrilineal, and/or Matrilocal system, where even war declarations cloud be vetoed by the Clan Mothers in many nations.

The Russian Revolution in a nutshell :
Lenin vs. Trotsky: The Battle for the Soviet Soul
While both were brilliant Marxist theorists who led the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, they fundamentally disagreed on how to actually build a communist state.
Here is how their methods differed on the four biggest battlegrounds:
1. How to Spread Communism (The Global vs. Local Debate)
Lenin’s View: Secure the home front first. Lenin was a pragmatist. He realized global revolution was stalling, so he focused on building a hyper-centralized one-party state inside Russia to ensure survival.
Trotsky’s View: "Permanent Revolution." Trotsky argued that a backward, agricultural Russia could never achieve true communism alone. He believed the Soviet state would inevitably collapse unless it immediately sparked and funded armed workers' revolutions in industrialized Western nations (like Germany).
2. The Peasant Problem (Capitalism vs. Pure Socialism)
Lenin’s View: Compromise with the masses. Russia was mostly poor peasants, not industrial factory workers. Lenin introduced the New Economic Policy (NEP), which temporarily allowed peasants to sell crops for private profit to keep the economy from collapsing. [1]
Trotsky’s View: Direct state control. Trotsky heavily criticized the NEP, warning it would bring capitalism back. He wanted the state to immediately squeeze the peasantry to fund rapid, hyper-speed industrialization.
3. Party Control (Dictatorship vs. Debate)
Lenin’s View: "Democratic Centralism." Lenin believed the Communist Party needed to operate like a disciplined army. Once the top leadership made a decision, all internal debate and factions were strictly banned.
Trotsky’s View: Internal democracy. While Trotsky was ruthless during the Civil War, he later argued that the party was becoming too bureaucratic. He fought for the rights of party members to openly debate, criticize leadership, and form factions.
4. The Nature of the State (The Vanguard vs. The Masses)
Lenin’s View: The Vanguard Party. Lenin believed regular workers only developed "trade-union consciousness" (wanting better hours/pay) rather than true revolutionary drive. Therefore, a small, elite group of professional revolutionaries (the Vanguard) had to dictate the path forward.
Trotsky’s View: Worker-led democracy. Trotsky placed immense faith in the Soviets (spontaneous workers' councils). He believed the revolution should actively rise from the collective action of the working class, rather than being strictly micro-managed from a government desk in Moscow.

reddit.comhold my Molotov cocktails
During Operation Barbarossa in 1941, Soviet soldiers used Molotov cocktails as an improvised weapon against German tanks and armored vehicles, especially when dedicated anti-tank weapons were unavailable. The bottles were filled with flammable liquid and fitted with a cloth fuse. When thrown at a vehicle, the bottle would break and spread burning fuel across its surface.
Soviet infantrymen generally aimed for vulnerable areas such as the engine compartment, air intakes, or other openings, hoping the flames would cause an engine fire or force the crew to abandon the vehicle. Attacking from the side or rear could provide better opportunities, but getting close enough was extremely dangerous because German tanks were often supported by infantry and machine guns.
Molotov cocktails could not penetrate tank armor and were not a reliable way to destroy heavily armored tanks. Their effectiveness depended on where the bottle struck and whether the fire reached a vulnerable component. Nevertheless, they became a useful emergency weapon for Soviet infantry during the chaotic early months of Barbarossa, when many units faced severe shortages of proper anti-tank weapons.
There have been many people in the last 130 years whose actions preserved or found peace... Overwhelmingly they have been shafted in favor of people who ramble about peace at conferences or who whine about extremist political beliefs the committee likes.
