Hoya lockii bloom
Always forget her..while her scent is one of the nicest. Mint chocolate/vanilla, yet very faint. Very easy to raise!

Her very first bloom! She was a baby, now is a big plant in Bloom. 🙂↔️ cant remember id at this moment. 😕
Strong scenr: Mix between citrus and very fresh mushrooms collected from the woods.
A nice faint scent, yet I can't discribe it.
Something floral, fruity...
My Hoya have never flowered.. so my local Hoya lady got me an unopened bloom last week, and she’s finally opened!! So exciting! Hoya parasitica aka black margin. ❤️ Have your Hoya ever flowered? What’s your favorite?
Sweet floral scent, like when you walk into a florist shop or reminded me of Easter morning with the Easter flowers and baskets of candy on the table.
I've had this guy in a prop box for the past couple of months now because of root rot. Well, now I don't know what to do with him. Chop at nodes? Plant the vines as is? Please help me. It's a wayetti I do believe.
Thank you wonderful Hoya friends for your advice and help a while back (see original post https://www.reddit.com/r/hoyas/s/6fEbKaVQlc). After it recovering, we battled mealy bugs but now my Hoya is all healthy and growing beautifully! 💚
TLDR: Thank you for all of your feedback on last weeks update! New subreddit rules and post flairs are being rolled out today, and feedback would be appreciated. User flairs are still being worked so please comment your ideas.
Hello there everyone!
I am back again this weekend with some more updates for r/hoya. I want to start off by thanking everyone that left feedback on my post last week. I appreciate all of your input and hope that my update this week accurately represents your shared visions for the future of this community. Here are the newest changes I have implemented to the subreddit.
This community now has a rule set that I hope will foster an inclusive space for everyone as well as lay out how moderation will be conducted going forward. Below is the rule list as well as a brief description for each one.
If you can think of a rule this community would benefit from that is not already part of the current rule list, feel free to leave a comment below. Also, please let me know if any of the rules or their descriptions are hard to understand so I can tweak them.
While highly encouraged, post flairs are not required to make posts in this community. The addition of these flairs is just to help increase the readability of the subreddit and to help with searches for more specific types of content. In the future, I may roll out stricter format requirements for certain flairs (such as specifying the species, age, and growing medium for the Highlights flair), but for now I intend to keep everything lax while the community gets accustomed to post flairs. I am still working on the colors and names for the post flairs, so feel free to share any feedback you have. Below is a list of the current post flairs and a preview showing their colors can be found in the pinned comment.
These are still being worked on. Please comment any ideas for flair names, as well as a hex code for the flair color, and I will work on implementing them throughout the week.
Thank you for your time,
Adam
I have just recently gotten into collecting Hoyas. I am enjoying learning a new plant and it has been fun watching them grow. I love observing the new growths, checking if it’s a peduncle or a new leaf. I just recently learned about that word and I think it is so much fun to say, but it would be even more fun if I actually had one. Have your Hoyas flowered in your home? I’m in it for the long haul so I’m excited to see what happens in the next year.
I’ve got three plants that have clearly outgrown their trellises. I’m ordering 7 inch trellises but I’ve actually never had to re-trellis a plant before. The last time I took a Hoya off a trellis I ended up just letting it trail. I’m so scared to unravel it all! Any advice?

*Yes, they are giant pickle jars 😝
**Yes, those are PPPs with all of their leaves plucked off, they were over shading the hoyas
I’m still learning about plants.
I try my best to keep them happy and healthy. 😊🪴💚🪴🪴💚🪴
First time trying the Barrina T8 and T5 for my Hoyas.
Let’s see if they work.
TLDR: u/Adamite98 is now a moderator for r/hoya. Images in comments are now enabled. Subreddit Rules and Post Flairs are being worked on, and community feedback would be greatly appreciated. Comment any User Flairs you would like to be added to the subreddit.
Hello there everyone!
Earlier this week, I submitted an application to r/redditrequest asking if I could be added as a moderator for this subreddit. I noticed that a few spam posts were popping up, and my attempts to reach the old mods went unanswered. I wanted to make sure that this subreddit didn't continue to go unmoderated, and I also wanted to give back some of my time to this community. My request has since been approved and I have started working on bringing r/hoya up to date. I have gone ahead and enabled images in comments and have also started working on writing out some rules and post flairs for the subreddit. I would like to include the community in this process too, so I would greatly appreciate any feedback or ideas you can offer!
In addition to rules and post flairs, I would also like to add some User Flairs. Please comment any suggestions for these that you have!
Thank you for your time,
Adam
