18 f jee aspirant, Ik I do not belong to this sub but I need some genuine advice.

11th me was is Fiitjee, it got shut and I got fucked, swapped coaching and cities in 12th hence 12th was worse and health wise aur family problems bhi the kuch, didn't clear maine and also bhut buri %ile aai.

Got 67%in cbse this year hence improvement bhi dena pdega ya nios

Now as a girl who has hormonal issues and itna sbkuch to do, bhut stuck stuck sa feel hora as jan tk literally bhut kuch Krna hai hr aspect me. Ik "can I still make it?"poochna glat hoga

But thodi hope mil skti kya comments me?

Can y'all share more about computational engineering? I rarely hear people talk about it but the closing rank was 1300 last yr. how are the placements? is it similar to electrical?

I just wanted to know how are the placements in iit Madras mvlsi for both analog and digital domain. Or iit bombay ES is better than iit madras mvlsi?

And are htta and non htta people given same preference during placements.

Hello i am hoping to take admission in iit madras for btech . I am confused about branch selection i got to know iit madras is best place for mech . can sone senior tell the overall situation of mechanical dept is it still relevant to take core branches or should i focus on tech . Are core branches students researching and studying core subs or are doing tech .

I’m an MTech student at IITM and I accidentally missed the course registration deadline because I thought mandatory/core courses like MTP Phase 1 would be automatically registered.

Does anyone know:

whether mandatory courses can still be added during add/drop? or if late registration is possible through the drcourses?

From last year's GATE 2025, we've seen that IITM BS produced incredible ranks in DA paper.

But the thing is, it is pretty weird that GATE 2026 toppers are kind of hidden, including DA paper, isn't it?

Normally we would find tons of celebration for top 100 rankers in GATE but this year let alone celebration, I'm struggling to find top 10 in GATE DA paper. What's more interesting is IITM BS hasn't even published any rankers this year...

What even is happening...?

Hello peeps, this is the first time I'm posting in this sub. My brother appeared in JEE adv this year and based on marks calculation with answer keys, we are hoping he might be around AIR 200.

Now, everyone in our family is from medical background and we have absolutely no idea which field, or which college should be a wise choice and what exactly is the difference between these fields written above and how are the opportunities in these fields after Btech.

No offense to anyone, but this is very overwhelming and we are really seeking guidance for the same. Please provide your inputs, as that would help us make a better decision.

if anyone is currently pursuing a BS in medical sciences and engineering (or knows someone who is) at IITM, can you please tell me what a normal day in your (or their) life looks like, and is the course too academically overwhelming or relatively chill? Because from the discussion with Claude, it says it's way too intense compared to a normal BTech

I've qualified for advanced and registered for it back in January. Everywhere I'd checked they said registration date for courses is may 31st but I got a message saying may 20th is the deadline. Should I register today or tomorrow.

Apparently the exam for these courses is in September and they're already asking me to go e exam city even though I haven't even decoded which college I'm going to?

Any help would be appreciated
