I don't know what I'm trying to say here, but I'm glad I'm AroAce because I can fully focus on myself and my personal goals. I don't have to worry about getting into a shitty relationship with someone, messy breakups, STDS, pregnancy, etc. It prevents me from being teased or manipulated by people who use their looks to get what they want (and yes, people do that). I see both sexes equally because I equally don't have sexual/romantic attraction to either of them. Whenever I see anything about how draining relationships can be, it stresses me out, but then I remember it's completely optional and will never happen to me naturally. I get to be completely independent, and I cherish that :>

It took me a while to accept it and feel comfortable saying it out loud, but I really love it. I have so much brain space to dedicate to other things like hobbies and education (not that allos can't do this). I like seeing things through a purely aesthetic lens. Being allosexual seems exhausting and frustrating. I'd hate it if I woke up one day and was suddenly that orientation lmao

That being said, however, I always wonder how in the world people even have the time and the energy to date in the first place, so I‘m glad I don’t have to worry about that 😅

I feel like I've seen a lot of MLM couples in media where one man is always portrayed as being soft and feminine while the other is buff and masculine — and there's nothing wrong with liking that type of dynamic. But I've always had more of a soft spot for dynamics like this — it just makes my brain happy idk
