Eviolite is now a Mega Stone - NFE Pokemon holding Eviolite can Mega Evolve into their final stage evolution (or that stage's mega evolution).

So for example, a Caterpie holding Eviolite, in addition to getting defense boosts, can Mega Evolve into Butterfree (losing the boosts). Or a Weedle can Mega Evolve into Mega-Beedrill.

There would be some way of knowing which split evolution/mega you will turn into (you don't pick it mid battle).

You stay at the same % of HP if the (mega) evolution has a different HP stat.

Would this make any more NFE pokemon viable?

The Pokemon already good with Eviolite would be good with the option - Porygon-2 can go into "attack mode" by Mega Evolving to Porygon-Z

Eviolite Scyther seems like a good one - basically a different base for Mega-Scizor to mix things up - you get two distinct Pokemon and you can choose which one you go with depending on what works for the battle.

Eviolite Pupitar might be good as a switch in - immune to Electric and with Shed Skin to shrug off any status before Mega Evolving to Mega-Tyranitar. In fact it seems like many NFEs of Megas would be better at switching in to take a hit than their unboosted fully evolved counterparts.

Alternate Ability idea for Gholdengo: Coinflip

Effect: makes it so that any move that isn't 100% accurate is always 50% accurate. This applies to every Pokémon on the field.

This can be used to make moves such as Play Rough, Will-O-Wisp, and Rock Slide hit less of the time

or make moves such as Fissure, Horn Drill, Guillotine, and Sheer Cold potentially viable

this ability plays on the Pokémon saying "if it's not 100% accurate, it's 50% accurate"

Aura Blast is a special Fighting move that functions similarly to Stored Power. However, instead of increasing its base power by 20 for ever positive stat stage, it remains at 20 base power but hits an additional time for each positive stat stage. The idea is that the user is channeling its "aura" (represented by stat changes) to fire blast after blast after blast.

This multihit difference would allow the move to break through effects like Focus Sash and Multiscale, and because it does not make contact, it would avoid negative effects like Rough Skin or Flame Body. However, it is also classified as a ball/bomb move, and thus would have no effect on Pokemon with Bulletproof.

**EDIT: This move was not intended to be boosted by Mega Launcher. It is a ball/bomb move, not a pulse move. And I forgot that Mega Launcher specified “aura” moves in addition to pulse moves in previous generations.**

Notably, since Aura Barrage is 100% accurate and its number of hits is determined entirely by the number of positive stat changes, effects like Skill Link and Loaded Dice would have no effect on it. It does receive a boost from Technician, however, due to always being 20 BP.

I selected potential users from Pokemon who learn Stored Power and/or Aura Sphere, plus a couple Technician users for fun. Any suggestions for users that should be added/removed are greatly appreciated.

My Theorymon dump for this week

Reconstructor will replace Regirock's hidden ability, and replace Klutz for Golurk, and made into a hidden ability (No Guard becomes regular)

Never Melt is now the hidden ability for Regice and Cryogonal

Super Alloy is now the hidden ability of Registeel and Aggron

Reconstructor and Never Melt's weather healing will be like a round of Leftovers

BAD DEVELOPER INTENDED STRATEGY ALERT: You can use Combust twice on Drifblim to burn it and activate Flare Boost (just use Unburden).

As for competitive impact, this is something Regirock and Regice ae desperate for: actual longevity. Meaning they can tank hits more easily, especially with one of their weaknesses completely shut down. I don't know if it will be enough to lift Regice out of eternal ZU, but Regirock can rise up for sure. Cryogonal is only there for more thematic sense, and it would be pretty interesting to see Golurk with this, as it can run some defensive sets by baiting those moves and dissentivising them, which could put a strain on the foe. Aggron defo needs something like solid rock to at least not die to earthquake in one hit. Registeel will definitely be a massive recipient of this, though a feel like lack of reliable recovery is still a thorn on it's back, so at least it can survive in RU for longer.

Combust feels like the magnum opus of what it's like to be a Fire type: Hit HELLA hard. And this move is DEFO getting used. Sure, using up your item sucks, but shell smashers use white herb, and shell smashers are excellent! I do feel like the image should be rectified, as not most fire types should have access to this hella powerful move. But a decent chunk should, which include those listed on the graphic, aswell as Moltres,Typhlosion (both variants), Infernape, Pyroar and Salazzle (No way in hell am I giving that shit to Volcarona or Iron Moth). As for boons it could give, I feel like Chandelure can rise high (and maybe get banned from RU), and Charizard can be relevant again in a tier higher than ZU. Magmortar would be interesting, as it does have Thunderbolt to FRY any Water types daring to switch in. And Drifblim isn't fully reliant on terrain anymore

Feel free to give feedback!
