Help me cut down my Naya Provoke Bushido-Matters Deck

Hello,

I have tried now to build a deck around the Bushido Keyword, which I know is infamous for not being strong, but with forced Blockers and a couple of pumps, i think on my table where we play roughly bracket 2 decks and precons only, it could work.

Decklist: https://archidekt.com/decks/23983076/bushido

I am struggling however with what cards to cut, or maybe it is even too bloated with the idea that i have? I am at 185 currently and everything feels to me "too important".

My "Maybeboard" has already all the things I have cut so far.

Sideboard contains 1 potential "infinite combo" (Aggravated Assault + Bear Umbra = infinite combat phases) and alternate commanders.

General idea: Force opponents to block a certain creature/target opponent creatures block a certein creature of mine -> Bushido triggers for pump, also Samurais are cool.

Equipment/Aura subtheme for protection and deathtouch to make those force blocks become removal. On the offensive side I try to add in trample, lifelink, vigilance and doublestrike and a +1/+1 counters theme to slowly ramp up.

This is not an Exalted/attacks alone focussed deck!! Usually i want to attack with 2+ creatures, one being the forced block target while the other swings without hindrance (at least that's the idea)

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Win the game W/ Jank Commander

Not gonna lie this is a really good deck. If you can put it together correctly this is just ridiculous that this combination works appropriately if you can take out the chosen creature and then the opponent.

Which cards are "Mass Land Destruction" vs "Land Destruction"?

Extremely casual/nooby player here, a friend joked about leveraging "I run [[Boil]] in my deck btw" as a way to shove a blue player off of counter spelling his commander. As a casual player raised a bunch of questions about the differences between Mass Land Destruction and regular Land Destruction (which for brevity I'll refer to as MLD and LD going forward). I admittedly follow the bracket system a little too closely in deckbuilding and saw that MLD is bracket 4 only. Is LD legal in all brackets below 4 and if so what counts?

I suspect "Destroy all lands" counts as MLD and "Destroy target land" is LD. Which category do these belong in?

  • "Destroy all Islands" [[Boil]], [[Tsunami]]
  • "Destroy all Plains" [[Flashfires]]
  • "Destroy all Forests" [[Acid Rain]]

Lastly, what's the general consensus on MLD and LD? Is it just an unspoken rule to never run it? Is it a valid way to get ahead or is it just too unfriendly/bad for the game?

Command Zone Cluster

So I'm not sure if this is even the correct subreddit to be in for this but I thought maybe you could help.

I'm working on a deck called the Command Zone Cluster, I started this idea when Wizards announced the In store Pride event which gave all legendary creatures without Partner, Partner.
So on base I'm allowed 2 Commanders, I'm also allowed a Companion.

From here I got [[Ganax, Astral Hunter]] Partnered with [[Morophon, the Boundless]], and my Companion [[Jegantha, the Wellspring]].
Ganax has "Choose a Background" where I chose [[Acolyte of Bahamut]], but I wasn't done there.
I got [[K-9, Mark 1]] who has "Doctor's Companion", note that this is my first rule 0, as I would be selecting Morophon to be the Dr. and rules as it be require the Dr to be ONLY "Time Lord Doctor".
So I played this deck for a little bit enjoying having 5 cards essentially in the command zone.
(I could decide to have a legal target for doctor's companion, but i would either lose access to black or k9, and i didn't want to do that)

Update to yesterday when I remember that Conspiracy cards exist, they are not legal in commander but they have text that allows them to be in the command zone. I assume the primary reason why they aren't legal is because there is no restriction on the amount you can run. But in the spirit of fairness, I selected only 1, this is my second rule 0 for this deck. [[Backup Plan]] putting me at a total of 6 cards to start outside of my deck with 4 counting against my deck total.

Now today, I'm reminded of this other commander like format, Oathbreaker. For those of you who don't know Oathbreaker is a 60 card singleton format which allows you to run a Planeswalker (Your Oathbreaker) and an instant or sorcery (Your signature spell) in the command zone (Command tax is applied).

With this I was interested in finding ways to properly justify me adding an "Oathbreaker" and "Signature Spell", without it sounding like I just want more easy access cards.
I'm having a hard time justifying that an Oathbreaker is different from a Commander other than naming scheme and the fact an Oathbreaker can be any Planeswalker. The Oathbreaker and Signature spell both also count as a slot in the main deck, and it would put me at 6 cards counting against my deck with a total of 7 outside of the deck.
This will be my third rule 0 (If i can end up justifying this) and the Oathbreaker would be [[Sarkhan the Mad]] and the Signature Spell would be [[Truth or Consequences]].

And a potential fourth rule 0, I would swap the Signature Spell with [[Wish]], I know that in some groups people play with these types of cards and they allow for a 15 card "Wish Board", its like a commander sideboard, this would up my total of cards starting outside of my deck to 22 with 6 counting against my total.

Anyways, any feedback is great and appreciated, here is the current list

Need help finding good enchantment commander!

Hi! I was thinking of making a deck focused on seals! Does anyone have a commander that you think would work? Preferably WUBRG but anything will do! (Seals meaning like… the enchantment seals, not the animals lol.)

I have a whole bunch of seals in bulk, couldn’t find a good enchantment commander

Mostly vibe-based Demon deck:

The commander [[Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath]] is inconsequencial for the most part and a good chunk of the card picks are suboptimal or if not symmetrical can give value to someone else instead. The tutor options aside the deck plays somewhat inconsistent and there isn't really much of a game plan. The optional win cons [[Liliana's Contract]] and [[Mortal Combat]] are very impractical to pull off in the majority of games.

The general concept of the deck is a bargain with the devil; meaning that it relies on the other players to willingly leave you alone for expected returns until you are ready to claim what they owe in return.

Alternatively you can give people free shit because it'd be funny.

Feedback and suggestions are highly welcome.

Created a custom Kavu Commander

Today I spent about five hours trying to find a mono-red commander that actually appealed to me. At first I thought Varn, Street Thief looked really interesting, but after playing the deck several times over the past few weeks, I ended up feeling more frustrated than anything else. So I started looking through other mono-red commanders.

What I realized is that I could never build a mono-red deck that didn't eventually win through huge storm turns, burn, or some kind of combo. What I really wanted was a grindy mono-red value commander.

So I decided to design one myself.

This is my take on Tannuk, reimagined for Edge of Eternities. The artwork is also from the Edge of Eternities spoiler season, and the original artist is credited on the card.

The main idea behind Tannuk was to combine several themes that I enjoy:

  • a mono-red Landfall commander,
  • synergy with Impulse Draw,
  • support for Kavu tribal, especially the new Kavus from Edge of Eternities,
  • and a commander that rewards playing lands from exile instead of relying on graveyard recursion.

From a power-level perspective, I think Tannuk only really works as a commander. I suspect he would be too strong in the 99, but as a build-around commander I think he's in a healthy spot. While designing him, I mainly compared his power level to commanders like Teval, Hearthull, and the official version of Tannuk.

I also wanted him to feel like a counterpart to Teval. While Teval generates value through the graveyard and Zombie tokens, Tannuk does so through exile and Landfall. His 3/3 Kavu tokens are stronger than Teval's 2/2 Zombies, but he creates them less frequently. In return, his 2-damage mode lets him pick off Zombie tokens and other small utility creatures, while his 3/5 body with reach can block Teval effectively.

I think the restrictions keep him fair. He only cheats Mountains exiled during your own turn onto the battlefield, and his second ability only allows each mode to be chosen once per turn, preventing repetitive value loops.

Overall, I don't think the deck is particularly fast. In fact, it has to jump through quite a few hoops before Tannuk really starts generating value, which is exactly what I wanted. The result is a slower, synergistic mono-red commander that wins through incremental advantage instead of explosive combo turns.

I'd love to hear what you think. Do you think the design is balanced, and would you enjoy playing against a commander like this?

Looking for Jank Boros decks

I'm finding boros one note, but would love to build around it. Trying to do the "all colors challenge." What are some interesting Boros builds you have, have seen, or have heard about? The typical boros equipment deck seems a bit played out.

Made an evil deck with a new commander I haven't seen many people talk about from the Marvel set

With more and more cards cedh coming to brawl, especially with force of will and mystical/vampiric tutor in the format, A deck that consistently looks to combo win is becoming more and more viable.

This deck uses the new commander Scientist Supreme of A.I.M. for good early game value getting to double triggers from artifacts like mishra's bauble and chromatic star. And plays a lot of tutors, removal and counterspells to try to play a protected painter's servant + grindstone win, usually by turn 4 or 5 depending on if you're on the play or not, how you mulligan, and how experienced you are piloting the deck.

I've been messing with the final deck list and making changes as I play more games with the deck and start noticing issues.

Because brawl is a 25 life format with only one opponent your life total is under significantly more pressure than it would be in a regular game of commander or CEDH. I didn't consider this making my first list and would find myself frequently unable to make the most value out of my commander's ability losing too much life to MDFC's and Snuff out and thoughtseize and dismember. Especially with doomsday coming to arena, in a 25 life format sometimes the opponent can finish the game before you can as you lose half your life casting it.

The current list actually doesn't run sink into stupor, agadeems awakening, or fell the profane either. Also cut mana confluence from the lands as it was too taxing for a 2 color deck that already needed to use it's life.

Please let me know what you think as well as any changes you might make or questions/advice!

Here's the list :)

Need help trying to make a deck "function" (heavy quotations)

https://archidekt.com/decks/18068330/double\\\_double\\\_no\\\_doublers

I wanted to build a deck around cards that make exponential amounts of copies of themselves, because i thought it was a fun gimmick. Now that I've looked them up... it's a lot of hoops to worry about. I wanted to make this a slightly silly deck, but I have no idea how to get these cards to go off anywhere near consistently. Some are easier than others, like \[\[Homunculus Horde\]\] \[\[scute swarm\]\] \[\[biowaste blob\]\], etc

Others though, like \[\[colorstorm stallion\]\] \[\[leitmotif composer\]\] \[\[scouring swarm\]\] \[\[phoenix fleet airship\]\] are obviously a bit harder. I know this deck is never gonna be consistent, but I'd love some help figuring out a way to make the deck at least a little bit less bad, hopefully able to trigger the cards more often than not.

Im looking for engine pieces, more or less, that'll help me accomplish this nonsense with something almost resembling consistency. Id love the help, even if this deck winds up being a theme deck and bracket 1 slop
