I want to use this little fella, [[Hellcarver Demon]], to win. However, big downside. Lots of red flags. How can you make it "work" though? I was thinking maybe [[The Master, Multiplied]]. That way, I can actually make a lot of token copies of stuff, including the Master, to sac my board but keep a lot of stuff. Then the hellcarver tokens will help me cast the top 6 to 12 of my library to make more tokens and keep doing it.

Thought? Any auto-includes?

First, I was wondering why Richard Garfield chose the Plains to represent white? I imagine, applying the philosphy, it's where settlements and communities are built. But communities can be built on mountains, islands, etc

Two, I was wondering how the mana symbols, specifically white, came about. I know it's the sun and the sun is life, but unsure how it all transpired. Any information, or good resources, on this?

I need some rule experts for brainstorming

I had an idea for a deck, and its weird but go with it. The goal is to permanently get rid of the opponents commander by removing access to it. I know of (I think?) Three ways. But, Id love to know more so that's where you come in!

1. First is counter it with [[Transcendent Dragon]] this prevents them from putting the commander into their command zone from Exile. Here is a video detailing how it works and inspired me to make this deck:

2. Use [[Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd]] type effect that blinks something but returns it, and an effect that ends the turn. Your opponent probably won't put it in the command zone if they think it'll be returned at EOT. That's when you then play something like [[discontinuity]] with phelia's return trigger on the stack.

3. Another way is to phase it out, however I'm not sure how to do this permanently. [[Oubliette]] can do it as long as it remains in play but idk one that just permanently poses something out

Bonus maybe? A [[worst fears]] type of effect? Idk if that one works tho.

So thoughts? Any commander I should choose?

One thing I am struggling with in deck building is making Izzet not spellslinger.

So, I wanted to ask everyone, what are some unique ways you've built Izzet colored EDH decks?

I have a [[Magnus the Red]] token deck. But in the end, it's really just a spellslinger deck that makes tokens.

Has anyone built around the Leyline cards, like [[leyline of the void]] and such? I'm into mtg lore and leylines play a huge role and I'd love to build bot only a deck with each, but also make it viable in a high two to mid 3 tier bracket kind of game.

One option is get them out free and early, then animate them into an army with something like [[opalescence]]. Any idea on how to make my meme a dream?

Hello! I was wondering what's some good sources if I wanted to explain mana in the magic universe?

How would you describe it?

Just trying to nail down the cosmology. I've been doing research and from what I see, magic is energy that gets shaped into reality. It saturates everything. Land doesn't really create it, it saturates it like a sponge depending on its connection to a leyline. But I'd love more info on it. Thanks in advance!
