Screenshots from the episode. Early days still but this version of Jon seems really easy to like. He has an infectiously likeable and cheerful personality that kind of feels like a mix between kid and older mainline Jon, with just a hint of tragic backstory.
He definitely seems like their kid.
I think it’s unfortunate the twins didn’t really take off as characters, I think they have such an intriguing thing going on and the fact no one but their creator PKJ and I guess now Sam Camp just had them finally appear in Internship. However beyond that it’s been made abundantly clear the last 2 years no other Superman writer cares about them as they tend to just disappear from the narrative when it’s not PKJ.
All that to say again if this is true this would make it a more plausible theory that Ultraboy/Kid Jon might be sticking around for a semblance of time beyond this event.
Hears my theory PKJ had already decided he was leaving DC, he caught wind of them bringing back Kid Jon for this event figured it was only a matter of time before the twins were just erased in favor of him so he decided to have them shipped off with Clark in this mini for the last hurrah so he could end the twins story in a satisfying manor of his design.
And now when Clark comes back he’s gonna be all angsty about losing the twins, & immediately come face to face with actually traumatized AU version of the son he lost who actively probably hates/fears him because he has the face of the father who tortured him for years and he’s gonna actually have to deal with a broken version of Jon who’s not hiding his pain to make him and Lois feel good about themselves! Wham! DOUBLE HOMICIDE!
Like it just got worse and worse and worse…
The future will fight back. So well superboy has gone to the past who is to stay whoever running the future can't find away back to the past as well?
As for whose in charge maybe Cyborg Superman or maybe they pull a terminator and Brainiac infused to Cyborg Superman is in control. He also pulled a skynet. And causes a missile strike and thus why the sky is red some of those missile had red kryptonite in it thus weakening the El's thus why superboy was running not flying or using super speed. And also maybe they found Lex schematics or Brainiac who is hopeful a 12 level intellect by that time figures out time.
Now as for who do they well one option is the Eradicator(no offense but that name is really sketchy like punisher) or Terminator. And it could be drawing power from a captured El cuz we never did see Superman or Supergirl die yet so it up for grabs on if they are alive in the future.
Or Metallo not those robots im talking something more humanoid in appearance to hide in plane sight. Basically im sure with Cyborg Brainiac knowledge they could make more lethal Metallo. And when sent to the past they can pose as John Wayne Corben at least until they find Superboy and heck why not start the apocalypse early. I mean they did try to erase them from history it only fair to return the favor.
But on the bright side Brainiac finally a Cyborg and it the heroes live through this then the 31 century could still happen thus Brainiac 5 can still exist cuz it really the legion of superheroes without him. Just hope it we do get a legion arc someday Kara doesn't attack him on sight last time(relatively speaking).
The reason i ask this is because I came across a post where someone said a lot of male bisexual superheroes in current are being written as gay not bisexual. Specifically, what made me think of Jon was someone replied saying female characters having an interest in the superhero does not show bisexuality when the superhero is not reciprocating in interest. I've realized I've held more interest in the male love interests for Jon as well so it got me wondering. Do you guys think Jon is, in current, being written as bisexual? Do you think there's any flaws to how he's been written as a queer character?
Cause is see a lot of potential in this dynamic. Little Jon is so much more jaded than the older version of Jon he would be like a great character to bounce off of Damian. Like a version of Jon who actually experienced in full some of the Darknesss Damian himself has went through in his life and never quite recovered. It’s so good Damian is in a very good place as far as his healing journey from his trauma but like Super Sons with their roles being switched is like such a good concept…
And even if Little Jon is like an antagonist even that would be interesting because he’s still coming from a place of trauma and not just blantant maliciousness! Like their so much potential here!

indeed this universe's version of Jon Kent! From Season 3, Episode 3. The episode drops hints throughout (including having Clark put together a model of his son for a model farm), and ends off with the big reveal.
