trisha + camp rock 3

Did she ever say what role she auditioned for? i’m behind on the pod but i just watched camp rock 4 and i could only picture her in 1 role, and even then it’s a stretch

Trisha’s pronunciation

I’m literally cracking up listening to today’s episode and listening to Trisha pronounce “Degrassi” she’s saying it so annunciated and I can’t stop laughing! She does this all the time with other words but this one got me 😂😂😂

Tired of the senseless defence of Ariana Grande

Especially by Oscar. It’s tiresome by Trisha too but I think she’s more aware of the reality. She said something like “don’t you think people would be more sympathetic though, if she came out and said she was struggling, instead of gaslighting she’s healthy?”

Oscar’s response - “it’s so hard because we’re speaking in hypotheticals, we don’t know what’s going on”.

I understand being woke and polite and girl power but come on. Her weight is not an excuse for “straight guys” to finally just pile onto her. She is, clearly and objectively, very sick. She is, objectively, a homewrecker. She is, objectively, posting photos and music videos showing off as much of her body as possible. These are not rumours or falsehoods. Her behaviour and her body have been ‘controversial’ in the public eye for several years now. She is very skinny, and she did start dating Ethan Slater when he had a wife and baby, a wife who spoke about her heartbreak (this is also more Ethan’s fault but yeah).

At a certain point you are allowed to comment on people’s bodies. Maybe this is controversial but it feels so ridiculous to me. As a young woman who grew up an Ariana fan, I can’t look at her without feeling a deep sadness remembering what she looked like healthy. If I had a daughter, I wouldn’t want her to be an Ariana fan.

Anyways. Maybe a hot take!

ro sponsorship/weight loss

Starting this off by saying that I don’t mean to sound like one of those bean soupers who slam something just because it doesn’t apply to me. I want Trisha to get her bag and I’m so happy she’s found something that works for her. I’m really just looking to explain my perspective, and to see if anyone else feels similarly.

Maybe it’s just my algorithm but I can’t go anywhere without seeing direct or indirect GLP1 advertisements. If it’s not an ad on my streaming service, it’s an ad on Reddit. If it’s not my favorite creators advertising it directly on their platforms, it’s watching people on my feed who previously were midsized or plus sized content creators get smaller and smaller. All of this on top of seeing women who are already thin admitting to using GLP1s and the discourse around Ariana Grande and her (alleged) ED all over my timeline.

I consider myself midsized, and it’s getting excruciating. I struggle already with body confidence (or even neutrality) and flip flop on a daily basis about dieting (or even multiple times a day). I want to have a baby soon and feel like I’ve missed my window to have the body of my dreams, or at least one I’m confident in on more days than not. It’s really depressing. I wish I wasn’t so self centered and that guilt is making me feel even worse. There are so many people who have so many worse things happening to them (especially right now with the state of the world) and meanwhile I’m getting upset because I’m not the weight I would like to be.

Not putting this out there to criticize Trisha, Oscar, or anyone using GLP1s. I think that as long as you’re doing it in a safe and healthy way, it’s an amazing tool that should be available to anyone who needs to make a healthy change. I’m just in my own feelings right now :(

New contender for actor playing Moses: Kayvan Novak

Lately the JT crew talks about which actors will play Trisha, Oscar, and Moses in the tv/movie adaptation of Trisha’s book. I’d like to throw Kayvan Novak’s name in the ring! He’s giving major Moses vibes to me. I know him as Nandor from What We Do in the Shadows. The last picture is a still from his new show, “Dig”. When I saw this picture I thought “Moses”!!

Something I've been planning to do for years. Just wanted to share with the fishies, even though y'all might not understand many of the inside jokes :')
