Tired of the senseless defence of Ariana Grande

Especially by Oscar. It’s tiresome by Trisha too but I think she’s more aware of the reality. She said something like “don’t you think people would be more sympathetic though, if she came out and said she was struggling, instead of gaslighting she’s healthy?”

Oscar’s response - “it’s so hard because we’re speaking in hypotheticals, we don’t know what’s going on”.

I understand being woke and polite and girl power but come on. Her weight is not an excuse for “straight guys” to finally just pile onto her. She is, clearly and objectively, very sick. She is, objectively, a homewrecker. She is, objectively, posting photos and music videos showing off as much of her body as possible. These are not rumours or falsehoods. Her behaviour and her body have been ‘controversial’ in the public eye for several years now. She is very skinny, and she did start dating Ethan Slater when he had a wife and baby, a wife who spoke about her heartbreak (this is also more Ethan’s fault but yeah).

At a certain point you are allowed to comment on people’s bodies. Maybe this is controversial but it feels so ridiculous to me. As a young woman who grew up an Ariana fan, I can’t look at her without feeling a deep sadness remembering what she looked like healthy. If I had a daughter, I wouldn’t want her to be an Ariana fan.

Anyways. Maybe a hot take!

How to handle pain in heels for formal events? Any tips?

I’m 26 and honestly, have just never been able to hack it. I’m pretty sensitive and wear really comfy sneakers everywhere, lol. Or loafers to work.

However, I have a wedding coming up and bought really gorgeous heels. They’re literally 1.5 inches and a block heel (so as low and easy to walk as possible), but because they’re strappy and just generally not an orthopaedic sneaker, I’m constantly ‘aware’ im wearing them.

Any tips? I’ve heard take Tylenol before an event. I’m also gonna wear them around the house for a while

I literally cannot do good work after 6pm

Summer associate at a firm that gives their summers real work equivalent to a first year associate, not summer camp vibes.

I’m there by 9am sharp (because I’m a summer and want to make a good impression). I’m a really strong worker for about 5.5 hours. But the issue is by the evening (and truthfully, by like 3pm), my eyes are tired, I’m tired, and I’ve run out of steam.

I am stressed because while I am completing the work, the expectation seems to be work later, vs. earlier. Does anyone in biglaw function by waking up early to grind vs working into the evening?

Alicent assault attempt scene so upsetting and unnecessary

Loved the episode beyond that scene. As a woman it just is so difficult to watch things like that. Don’t mind the nudity, brothels, killing etc but what is the point ? Degrade ? Humiliate ? Watch a character we’ve heard speak twice humiliate the lead ? Weird

Trying to buy a condo right now in the downtown core and there truly is not much inventory (vs over the winter)

Was hoping to see a summer boom but there is maybe 1 new listing every 3 day within my criteria.
