Show us your toddler-mobile!

Bike dad of a 5 month old, and am counting the moments until i can take my daughter for a spin on my '18 Unit X.

Right now my plan is to get a top-tube seat (macride, KRS, etc, with maybe a xc suspension fork) so we can eventually comfortably hit some gravel together, but I'm curious about what others here have found to work best?

Joining the Kona Unit cult (finally)

Found this barely used Kona unit X 2025 XL for 900€!!
Last user maybe rode 20km with it.
Now it’s time to pimp it up.
Already changed a Brooks C17 saddle
Richey Kyote bars (shorter stem)
Adding some aero bars when bikepacking
Front rack Pelago
Back rack either old man’s rack or a Blackburn outpost
(Changing pedals to some black ones)

What I need recommendations for is:
What dropper post works good with it? I got the seat quite high.
Thinking of other Alt bars with more rise (that would fit aero bars)
Other more fast rolling tires (Vitoria barzo up front and to the back Vittoria mezcal’s

Any other recommendations?
Thanks already!

Little tour with my dad last weekend

Went through the Black Forest in Germany along cycle paths and forest roads. It was my first long days with the WTB Pure saddle, I think it suits me well!

Marin Overnighter to Camp Taylor

I haven't done any extended trips on my Kona Unit, but getting out for weekends is still good fun. This trip hits some popular riding spots in Marin County. It's about 50 miles depending on exactly how you do it, and whether or not you tack on the extra 6 miles round trip for Indian food in Lagunitas :)

Essentially, start in Ross, bike out to Samuel P. Taylor State Park to camp, then up and down Pine Mountain the next day. For ATB / Gravel bikes, this riding gets pretty technical - Pine Mountain is very rocky. I've got 2.4" & 2.6" tires on my Unit, so it's a little bit of a cheat on the descents. Lots of energy needed to pedal around though.

There's a bikepacker's camp at the state park and it's usually got a least a few folks camping out. It's cool to see the different bikes people ride, some for pavement, some for dirt.

Full route details & map here for anyone interested.

Disclaimer, the link is my site. It's a tiny business that offsets a little of my bike related expenses.

Market for used 2022 Unit X w upgrades

Writing to inquire about the market price for a 2022 unit X. I bought this new and it has always been somewhat big (stepover height) for me at 5‘7“. I have added several good upgrades… Jones H Loop 2.5 bar, PNW Loam dropper post, Brooks B 17 saddle, Cane Creek headset, wheels manufacturing bottom bracket, new Shimano SLX Hub in the rear mounted to new WTB rim. Maxxis Recon 2.6 tires setup tubeless. What do you all think?
