NSV - I wore a bikini?????

55F, SW 207, CW 146, currently rocking a size 8!! (my goal was to get to a size 10). I have had 4 full-term pregnancies and I am comfortable that my stomach will never look perfect again.

I took these photos to demonstrate that I was OK with wearing a bikini with an imperfect tummy. But honestly, the photos don't look as bad as what I see in the mirror. Which is textbook body dysmorphia, no surprise there!

Anyway, I hope this is an encouragement to someone over 40. Keeping the weight off with a GLP1 is actually possible!!

🙂

Back on the struggle bus.

I spent 10 months (42 injections, I think) at Zepbound 2.5. Consistent weight loss (56 pounds in that time) but still often struggled with side effects. I came off for 10 weeks due to a couple different medical procedures and issues and gained almost 20 pounds back 😩. Restarted around the first of the month (have 3 injections in now) and I thought wow, this is easier than the first time, I'm feeling pretty good. Nope, week 3. The full ick is back. Food looks disgusting, sounds disgusting. Struggling with acid reflux. Not nauseous, per se, but seriously have the ick. Like I feel gross inside my own body. I have lost 10 pounds after my first 2 weekly weigh ins (clearly water weight and inflammation because I know I didn't gain 20 pounds of fat in that time), but i forgot how crappy this medicine makes me feel day to day. Struggling again to get calories in,
I'm tired, I'm grumpy lol. I know it will pass, but honestly sometimes this sucks. People who think this is the easy way out have actually no idea.

Constipation

What are we doing for constipation? I just started magnesium last night. I started fiber gummies Monday, but I need something that works faster. Google told me miralax, but expect it to take 1-3 days, I can't wait that long 🥴

Weightless

Has anyone read the book "Weightless"? I find it to be one of the most comprehensive and easily understandable books on GLP1's that I've found. I read it on my Kindle and ended up buying a hard copy so that I can highlight things that I want to go back and be able to review.

Anyone up for a discussion on things from the book?

Migraines

How do you know if you're migraines are hormone related, or the GLP1? I was microdosing with little to no side effect of Tirzepatide. Now at 2.5mg I have a migraine, but I'm also o perimenopause. I do get hormonal migraines when I was younger, I also get allergies and migraines with it.

How do you even separate which one is which??

I'm on .05mg estradiol patch and 100mg progesterone.

I usually get a headache on my period whenever it happens coz it comes and goes now, and or what was the expected ovulation dates and they are horrible..

I take rizatriptan 5mg for really really bad migraines.

What help you? Does it matter what was the cause?

The most recent one was 30 minutes after my 2.5mg shot (my first 2.5, but it's my 14th shot).

What has made a difference for me!

I have had some solid success with tirz, and like many, I often feel tired the day after the shot. What has made a big, huge difference for me is lipo/b-12/l-carnitine shots. I've tried this before at a med spa type place in my town, and while I felt the benefit, it was expensive, and more than I wanted to spend. I got a 3 monthly supply from an online telehealth site for a cost that was much more reasonable. It was a little bit scary at first, because it's an IM shot, not sub-q like tirz, but wow - what a difference it has made in my mood, energy and I think my body composition. I use it twice per week and highly recommend!

Face too skinny & sunken!

Hi ladies! So… pretty much the title. I’ve reached my goal weight and it shows in my face… and not in a good way. My girl who does my Botox is suggesting Sculptra but I really don’t want to spend the money. Also, the results aren’t visible for a few months with Scuptra, which I don’t really like. I want to know right away if it looks OK…

Anyone else in this boat and what are you doing to plump and rejuvenate your face?

Moving shot day

Have any of you moved your shot day? Whats the easiest way? I originally did Friday but I think I want to move it to Sunday so misery will be MonTues instead of all weekend. I am now at Thursday. Thinking of going back a day every week unless there is a better way🤷‍♀️

My go to post shot day

Day one and two when I have no appetite I love these bone broth packets. Do you have a go to product for low appetite days?
