I often have the opportunity to go inside a variety of vacant buildings or otherwise-denied areas of occupied buildings during the course of my job.
This one is a 6-story central atrium style office building left to vagrants and metal scrappers. Looking straight up from the center of the ground floor.
North Houston
There is this stairway at my work that isn’t used by most, but it’s a handy shortcut if you know your way around. There is a brief time between floors where there are no visible doorways and sometimes I freak myself out thinking it’s going to go on forever and I’ll be trapped in this forever place searching for an exit.
It’s pretty and liminal to me at least
When the projector is on they have interactive displays on it for the kids
when the hallway motion sensor lights go off, it’s creepy how the hallways have no windows. it looks better, fancy even, with the lights on
