Would John come on to Lucy, and was he rejected in the past?
He did say "Lucy chose James." Which means it was Lucy's choice not James nor Johns. Lucy didn't not have feelings for John. If James was found dead, would Lucy marry John? probably eventually.
Also, is this why James and John don't talk?
Ludwig Christmas special for this year strongly rumoured
I think TV Zone have a great record in not making stuff up for clicks. They say "Whilst there has been no official confirmation, listings seen by TV Zone suggest a 'Christmas Special' was filmed alongside its second series earlier this year. The BBC declined to comment when approached by TV Zone."
Full trailer for series 2 of Ludwig
Series two - John wouldn't say season, would he? - starts next week, on Thursday 20 August.

when asked to executive producer kenton allen, proper made me giggle
He is the real genius
>!James is the real genius per ending. He planned the whole thing from the start, the Lucy calling John, John playing detective, and it being cover/que for James to step into John's role once it's revealed to all it was John all along (Once policed figured it out, whoever was after James presumably found out too, it was John.) Planning all this takes genius, and much more than what Ludwig could have done. !<

radiotimes.comFirst look at Stephen Merchant in Ludwig
Stephen Merchant will appear in series 2, episode 4 as Danny Sloane, a 'cocky snooker player' and something of a sparring partner for Ludwig.
New season promo art - any hints?
Escherian chess boards or crossword grids, or not quite either, and Lucy alongside John with her camera about her neck - is she going to find a Watsonian niche complete with photography in this run? I will not be surprised.
The white knight in the background is the only piece to have been felled - let's read too much into that, shall we? For fun.
