Team building help - is Nicole good for Lyney?
I haven't used Lyney in a while and I was wondering what his BiS team is currently? Is Nicole good for him? I've heard some people use him with Emilie but sadly I don't have her. 😔 What team could I use with what I've got (all the star-marked are built)?
I'm not necessarily trying to build a Nicole team for him, I moreso want to know what different options there are nowadays since I haven't used him in quite some time. :> I've seen some people use him with Fischl/Durin/Chevreuse, so I'm also wondering if such a team is better than whatever a Nicole-including team would be.

A Last Minute Surprise!
On impulse, I did a few last pulls on the banner last night before we got the new patch and...I GOT HIS C1!!! I'm very happy and grateful as I try to c1r1 my favorites and was a bit disappointed he wouldn't be part of that at this time, but I guess my luck locked in!
I'm sure this has been answered before somewhere here, but does his c1 change my rotation aside from not needing to do as many charged attacks? (Bennett e > xilo eq > furina qe > bennett qe > Lyney 3ca burst ca skill). And yes I know overload is his best and hopefully I'll be able to snag Durin and make that happen!
To all those who got their lyneys/cons/weapon, I'm so happy for you!!! And if it didn't work out this time, I hope genshin makes it up to you very soon!!!

So, heard someone saying that with nicole lyney bis team is "lyney, durim, Emily, nicole" as long as you have cons, got lyney c4 Emily c1 durim and nicole c0, do I have enough for it to be his team or overload with fishcl and cheruverse still better for me? My cheru is c5 unfortunately 😕

Is Lyney worth it as a light spender?
Title. I'm about to drop 30 bucks on his banner because I've farmed EVERYWHERE and I'm about to lose the fate point (lost to Emilie)
Is he worth getting? I love him SO much and I don't really care about meta (Trust me, I pulled for Sigewinne and I use her to this day), but I need to know if he's one of those characters that desperately need a 5* weapon or cons because I won't be able to get those.
I'm not looking for a game breaking DPS, but I want him to be functional. I have Durin C1R1 btw. If he's able to do more damage than Inazuma dps I'm satisfied (I main Itto)
Also if y'all could drop your f2p builds I'd be glad to see them ♡

I'm doing a research project on Lyney, and I need your help!
For my final project this school year, I am working on a multigenra piece about identity. I won't go into the specifics of what exactly I will be discussing in this paper, since that is irrelevant to this sub, but I am using Lyney and his story as a large part of my project. While I research the other aspects of my topic more, I would love to hear all of your takes on Lyney! What is his relationship with identity? How has he changed it, and how has it changed him? What aspects of his story resonate with you the most?
There are no wrong answers; I'd just love to hear your thoughts!
Edit for clarity: By identity, I mean along the lines of who he actually is, versus how he presents himself in front of others, and how external pressure has shaped how he presents himself and how others perceive him. Someone gave me a super interesting analysis of Lyney's possible relationship with gender identity too, so I'm open to that interpretation too!

Nicole vs Durin for Lyney?
Okay so, I'm trying to build a burning team with Lyney and Emilie. Both are C0R0. I can only get either Nicole or Durin at C0. Who is a better asset for my team overall? The remainder place will go to Xiangling or Bennett based on who I pull for. Would be nice to know the pros and cons of each too.

Need help building a team ~
Hello! My Lyney is c6r5 and I'm looking for good teams for him, mainly mono pyro and overload as I don't have neither Furina, Citlali or Xilonen. This is what I have been testing out so far and I'm debating whenever Durin or Nicole would benefit me more, because so far I have been only playing mono pyro. If someone could explain how a rotation would work and if Nicole is worth. Thanks in advance!~
