Cargo shorts - recommended?

Hi folks - I’m in my 40’s, need new shorts. I grew up in the grunge era and just don’t like the modern trend for mid-thigh, tailored shorts.

One of the shops in my area sell decent cargo shorts, and most online retailers seem…cheap (but not inexpensive) and made for very skinny people..

Can anyone recommend a decent online retailer of well made cargo shorts?

London — where to find a linen-BLEND (not 100% linen) suit for a September wedding in the south of France?

Getting married this September at a château in the south of France (Aude region), and I'm after a linen-blend suit — ideally linen-cotton or linen-wool. Something breathable for the heat but with enough structure that it drapes well and doesn't crease into oblivion by the evening photos.

The problem: every "linen suit" I find on the high street turns out to be 100% linen. I've been through Hawes & Curtis, Charles Tyrwhitt, T.M. Lewin and the rest of Jermyn Street and they either don't do blends at all or list "linen" pieces that are pure linen when you check the composition.

So far I know Suitsupply does proper blends, and I've looked at Reiss (Bloomfield, linen-cotton) but stock seems thin this late in the season.

Big and Tall

Hello,

I am a big and tall guy (6ft6 130kg) and usually wear 2xl-3xl and 42 waist 34 inseam.
I am going on a cruise in a few weeks around the Mediterranean and am in need of some wider legged linen/linen blend trousers to accommodate bigger legs. I have looked around but am struggling to find trousers that meet both the sizing and fit requirements.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think the closest I have found is from Uniqlo, but would appreciate any advice.

Uk based.

Thanks in advance!

UK Boxer Briefs that Last...

To my UK fellas: where are you buying your pants that actually last more than a year before the crotch wears out?

As a younger man I never had this issue - underwear would last for years and years - but in the last decade or so I haven't been able to find a decent replacement for what used to be my trusty go-to, Next.

Yes I've gained weight since the 00s but no I'm no sweatier and I was never slim. This really feels like a case of retailers keeping prices more affordable by using cheaper less durable materials.

At the very least I'm going to buy in a size up and go from Boxers to Boxer Briefs to do what I can to mitigate chafing as best I can

Looking for Oversized heavyweight T-shirts

I’m looking for this style of t-shirt in the UK, preferably a store I can visit (somewhere around Liverpool or Chester), but also online would be good.

I don’t trust instagram ads though, so hoping to find someone who’s got some suggestions and has experienced the quality themselves

“Otherwise” a Portuguese(?) brand advertised on Insta - any experiences with them?

Anyone have any experience of these - or generally from the men’s clothes brands that get advertised on Insta but don’t have shops in the UK?

I keep getting adverts for what look like nice summer shirts, but I don’t know anything about the brand and the website looks a bit like someone might just have created a new brand out of nothing. Curious about people’s experiences with these things.
