Has anyone bought a prescription pair of sunglasses for hiking in the snow? Wondering where to get them from and what to look for.

I wear lenses too but they’re no use in cold and windy conditions, eyes dry out easily.

Should I read the Illiad first and should I just get Lattimores translation for that as well. From searching, seems like I’d prefer his style.

I’ve got an Osprey talon 33 but the tent I’ve chosen isn’t a typical lightweight solo tent, it’s a 3 man MSR Tindheim tent that’s quite bulky and 3.7Kg so it’d need to be strapped to the outside of my current bag

Looking at a 3 man tent. Something with a large enough porch my Labrador will fit in, if she’s too hot inside the tent. It’ll be used for a mix of taking my dog and toddler camping and for just myself and dog wild camping. So it’ll need to be light enough so I can take it on reasonable length hikes.

I’ve been recommended the OEX Jackal 3 or the MSR Tindheim 3 if I was to spend more.

Is there any better option? Budget probably up to £350

Something for camping sites to begin with then onto more remote, something I can carry for an hour or two no bother. Been looking at the Berghaus Grampian 3. Just nothing too high end £££ for first tent but better than a homebargains special
