So my results came back total testosterone 29 free testosterone .25 and SHBG 29.1
Do you think I’ll be able to get testosterone? I have no clue what their threshold is. Thanks!

What is your perimenopause birthday wish?

Perimenopause comes with a lot of surprises - and not necessarily the fun kind, like a birthday present, for instance. Does your birth month align with a perimenopause symptom you've experienced? Do you wish there was a return policy for this "gift"??

Good provider but the app/website is really bad

I am using Midi in parallel with my gynecologist, and it’s been so far positive on the medical side. My gynecologist was totally open to HRT but is easier for me to “experiment” what’s right for me with my Midi provider. With that said, their website/app (do they even have an app?) is really bad. It is not intuitive, feels crazy outdated, but most importantly, you can’t find some important information like your own prescriptions and purchases. No obvious information about the pharmacies that are sending medication, no notification or tracking. They use different platforms for different things, and you also sometimes receive emails but those go to spam because it’s another random email address. It’s very frustrating.

Anyone feel like their stress level is through the roof these days? Does managing your cortisol levels (aka "the stress hormone") feel like a full time job that you neither need or want??

Chronically high cortisol can wreak havoc on our bodies - and contribute to some of the unwanted effects that perimenopause and menopause can bring. Have you tried any supplements to help combat these effects? What's worked for you? You can read more about cortisol and supplement options here: https://www.joinmidi.com/post/supplements-to-reduce-cortisol#key-takeaways

Life-Changing!!

I have been working with Midi Health for a few months now - and it has been absolutely life changing.

I cried at the end of my first visit, finally feeling heard. My regular PCP and GYN both agreed I was in perimenopause, but both said they couldn't do anything for me besides writing me a script for birth control to regulate my periods... Um, does that help with all the other issues I am having? No.

I am 39 and have been symptomatic the past two years. I was also diagnosed with ADHD in the last year as well (again my PCP agreed but dismissed me) and I had to find help on my own for that. ADHD and perimenopause are closely linked.

But this spring I saw an add for Midi (the funny one where the guy wears a wig and is complaining about everything LOL!) and I made an appointment. And then I met Leuw Thornton and my life was forever changed.

She has helped me start several hormone medications so I can feel like a human again. My GSD - almost vanished! My fatigue/brain fog - disappearing! Night sweats/hot flashes - improved significantly. My mood so much better with my kids, spouse, and clients at work. And my ADHD medication working better than before.

My biggest compliant before starting with Midi was the frequent urge to pee, and the several UTI's the past year. Two beach vacations in 6 months were ruined by UTI's out of nowhere, as I hadn't had one in over 10 years before that. I kept thinking, surely this is not normal? Is there something wrong with me?

With Leuw, we talk about perimenopause symptoms, hormone side effects to watch out for, about how long it takes to balance things out, and how younger people are getting diagnosed these days. I am heard, and she explains why I feel what I am feeling. She's just been an absolutely amazing person and helping me so much with my health. <3

33 being treated by provider

I am 33 (soon to be 34) experiencing perimenopause symptoms as confirmed by lab work. I am on 100mg oral progesterone, transdermal testosterone, tirzepatide, and then NAD+ and a b12 injections through a provider in my town that I have met with multiple times. Their office has been fantastic and I am finally feeling relief. To be confirmed with lab work again in a few weeks. The cost of their practice is rather pricey and at the top/high end of my budget. Now that I have an idea of what Im dealing with (took forever to get diagnosed properly because I was dismissed based on my age) I have been looking into online platforms and several women in my social circles have recommended Midi. However, because I am 33, it looks like they won’t consider taking me as a patient yet?

Are there any online platforms that would consider someone of my age? I have previous lab work and visits already established. I looked into Winona (sp?) and they wouldn’t see me because im not 35 yet either.

Thank you!

What made you laugh about this phase when you really needed it?

Sometimes leaving your car keys in the fridge is truly enraging, but other times it might give us the good laugh we need. What is something that's made you laugh during midlife when you needed it most?

First Appointment

Hi ladies! I have my first appointment with Midi tomorrow so I’m trying to get all my thoughts out on paper now to make sure I don’t forget anything. I’m a bit of a vitamin/supplement junkie and put everything I take in a google sheet to make it easy to share w my providers.

Does anybody know if it’s possible to share a file directly with my provider? Perhaps via email or a patient portal?

Also, any advice going into this first appt?

TIA for your help!

What would your superpower be to eliminate one perimenopause symptom from your life?

Instead of x-ray vision or the ability to fly, women in midlife might want a superpower that enables them to fight back their symptoms. If you could magically eliminate one symptom, what would it be?

Midi

Can anybody speak to using this particular online clinic, especially if they are in perimenopause or menopause and have also lived with endometriosis. Looking for good experiences if it’s worth my time, etc.

Questions about Midi

Hello! Newbie with a bunch of questions.
61F, BMI 21.23, 5’3” and want to lose about 30 lbs. 1200 calories a day is preposterous IMHO. Survivor of both infertility (twins with IVF) and breast cancer (10 years out, cannot do HRT), Hashimotos. I say all that b/c I’m very proactive and researchy about my health and see a bunch of doctors already. My GPs have not been amenable to GLP-1s (eat fruits and veggies!) My oncologist gave me her blessing for them but can’t prescribe them. I’m also intrigued by the possibility of GLP-1s preventing or mitigating dementia as my mother had it and we share a similar health history. I have zero woowoo tolerance. Would Midi be a good fit for me?

How are you getting your protein these days?

We all know how important getting enough protein is during this phase of life, but many women question how to get all of those grams in. Who supplements their food-sourced protein with protein supplements? Which ones do you love? You can read more here about the different types and how to use them effectively: https://www.joinmidi.com/post/protein-supplements-for-women#our-top-picks-for-protein-supplements-for-women

Midi appointment easy and comfortable?

For those who use Midi appointments, would you mind sharing what your appointment is like. I recently had my yearly checkup, but still have perimenopause questions. I call the nurse's line to ask them, but would rather write things down and have someone help me that I can 100% trust their answers and feel like I have their undivided attention for even 15 minutes. I feel like I'm bothering the nurses and doctor since I know they're so busy. Tell me, was it hard getting Midi appointment and did it use your insurance?
