Anyone else suffering with heat & humidity intolerance as a trigger? How are we dealing with it?

I’ve always had a hard time regulating my body temperature but I am now dealing with terrible heat and humidity intolerance when out and about during the day. This is a big trigger for my vestibular migraines and vestibular issues. All made worse by perimenopause of course.

This was actually one of my first symptoms before I was officially diagnosed. I get the dizziness, wooziness, and am unbalanced. I’m used to being a sweaty mess but the vestibular symptoms are harder to manage.

How are others coping with the heat?! Please suggest your best tips and products. I will consider anything and everything right now.

I already try to stay hydrated, wear big hats, and stay in the shade as much as I can. I’m wondering if the neck cooking tubes or personal fans are worth it. I’m desperate at this point for some relief so I can still be outdoors when necessary. I hate that VM takes so much from my quality of life.

I noticed I describe the same migraine differently every time

Something weird I realized recently is if someone asks me what my migraines are like, my answer changes depending on when they ask. Right after one I’ll say it was terrible and obvious. A few days later I’ll say maybe it wasn’t that bad. Then later I’ll forget half the details and only remember one part. Kind of makes me wonder how much I miss just because I trust my memory too much. Anyone else has noticed this or if your description stays pretty consistent.

Heatwaves are my migraine triggers

Besides stress, heat is one of my migraine triggers.

It's extremely hot in Europe now, and I don't have a fan or AC. (though admittedly, a fan wouldn't do much, as the air would still feel heavy and musty)

I just can't anymore, it really sucks. I'm gonna have to buy some AC.

Why is it so that heat triggers migraines? I drink plenty of water, so it cannot be due to dehydration.

Do peoplevactually remember what happened before a migraine?

I always think I’m going to remember and then when I actually try to think back I realize most of the day is kind of blurry. Like I’ll remember random details but not the stuff I actually wanted to remember. Then later I start thinking maybe it was this or maybe it was that and I honestly can’t tell if I’m noticing something real or just trying to make the day make sense afterward. Didn’t expect remembering to be this hard part of it.
