I have a question for people over 40 (if I did the math right)

Sometimes I see complains online that eyeshadow primers are a cash grab and eyeshadows used to be good enough to work without applying one, and I also sometimes see reviews for modern eyeshadows done without using a primer because basically the same reasoning. A good eyeshadow doesn't need primer.

Was this actually true?

I'm in my late 20s and I can't imagine wearing eye makeup on bare eyelids if I want it to stay for more than an hour.

I think this is my fave subreddit and I'm sad to see it not as active.

I think more and more people are getting bored with minimal makeup and are gonna be fully leaned into being more creative and bringing a punch with their looks . I’ve already seen it starting somewhat with the Gucci makeup trend etc
