Types of product that fell in popularity

I think the title is pretty self explanatory what are some types of products that fell in popularity with beauty lovers (some of those might still be popular with average consumers)

I have :

- **Classic brow pencil you can sharpen** It seems like now felt tips and micro pencils are more popular.

- **Brow powder** The first thing I ever used on my brows were these little smashbox trio that came with a wax.

- **Potted gel liner** When more skinny gel pencil came to the market they won over that for convenience.

- **Classic thick matte lipsticks** I’m talking like the Mac ones before reformulation or Pat McGrath matte trance. It looks like Nars is also getting rid of the powermatte bullets. I sense a velvet formula taking its place.

- **Pearl finish eyeshadows** like the Mac frosts, satins and veluxe pearl and inglot pearl finish. They still are common in the luxury world, but a lot of hit brands are going for sparkly or full on metallic.

- **Build your own palette** there are currently no options at Sephora to build your own eyeshadow palette. They used to have MUFE, Urban Decay and ABH. You have to go for Mac or online shopping now.

- **Loose eyeshadow** MUFE star powders and MAC pigments were all the rage in the past. The last brand I can think of that released one was the defunct GXVE beauty.

- **Loose mineral foundations**

What other products can you think of? Are you still using some of these?

I definitely still use my palettes I made and powder and classic brow pencils. I can’t say I use my Mac fluidlines all that often, but when I do I wonder why I haven’t. I also use a lot of subtle shimmers on my eyes. I bought the ABH embers palette which has these more pearl finish shimmers.

Which is the oldest eyeshadow palette in your collection?

Which is the oldest eyeshadow palette you have in your collection? Do you still use it and does it perform the same?

Mine is Urban Decay Naked Honey. I still use it and it still performs just as well! I’ve had it 5 years since 2021

Space NK – Order never dispatched, cancellation refused even though it’s their fault

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my recent experience with Space NK in case it helps someone else.
I placed an order on their website because it clearly showed a 3-5 business day delivery estimate. I specifically timed the order so my husband could bring the items overseas with him before he left the UK.
However, the order was never dispatched. When I followed up, they told me (both by email and over the phone) that it would be delivered by the end of this week or early next week. This seemed very unlikely since the order hadn’t even been processed yet.
I explained the situation and asked to cancel the order. They refused, saying the order was already “being prepared”. They blamed the delay on a “system upgrade” but still wouldn’t cancel or offer any solution, even though the mistake was on their end.
Now the items will arrive after my husband has already left the country, so I’ve essentially wasted my money.
Has anyone else had issues with Space NK’s delivery or customer service refusing cancellations? I’m quite frustrated as this was completely avoidable.
Thanks in advance

Is there a way to turn loose powder shadows into pressed shadows without ruining them?

I bought some little sample size eyeshadow powders recently and I like them, but I find them a little harder to apply than pressed shadows. Namely they go on super bold when I want to layer them, and they don't blend super well.

Is there a way I can make them into pressed powders? Would Inglot Duraline be useful? I tried repairing a crumbly eyeshadow pan in a palette once before by mixing it with Duraline and packing it back in, but it never applied the same again after that.

hey everyone, i've been on the hunt for a new foundation but i'm tired of the same old recommendations that everyone seems to rave about. what are some underrated or lesser-known foundations that you absolutely swear by? i'm looking for options that work well for sensitive skin and provide good coverage without feeling heavy. let's share some hidden gems that don't get enough love in the beauty community!

when did 'no makeup makeup' become a 14 product routine

Watched a 'natural everyday look' tutorial where she used fourteen products. Primer, color corrector, foundation, concealer, setting powder, bronzer, blush, highlighter, brow gel, two eyeshadows, mascara, lip liner, tinted balm. Somewhere along the way 'natural' stopped meaning fewer products and started meaning matte finishes. My actual everyday is three products tops
