I am visiting kainchi dham with 2 senior citizens.

Context - Reach kathgodam station by train on Monday 31st Aug at 2pm

Return ticket on Tuesday by train 1st Sept at 6pm

Homestay in kathgodam 2km from station

Help me choose

Monday - if we leave for kainchi at say 4pm in afternoon, can we do the darshan and return back to kathgodam by evening. Is it true that public transportation stops at 7pm from kainchi dham. Can we go and return back to kathgodam on Monday

Or Tuesday - on reddit and Google reviews people say that it would take around 8 to 10 hours total for the same trip due to heavy rush. If we leave early morning from kathgodam, can we reach back by say 4pm so we can catch train at 6pm. Is it risky?

After a lot of thought, I’m putting myself out here because I’m in a helpless position and just don’t know whom to ask for help.

I’ve been unemployed since May and my father recently went through a surgery.

I’m falling short on expenses even after spending all my savings into the medical expenses.
