Reminder that the race for Assembly District 20 will almost certainly be decided in the primary (and there’s only one campaign not taking corporate donations).

With Election Day approaching, just a reminder that Assembly District 20 is one of the races where no Republican filed, so the winner of the Democratic primary will almost certainly be headed to Carson City next session.

Our campaign is the only one in this race refusing to accept any corporate money. Also, a top priority if elected is to fight for legislation similar to that recently passed in Hawaii to make it so any corporation doing business in Nevada is prohibited from donating to any candidate, political party, or PAC. Other main issue I am running on is ending the protected tax status for mining so Nevada can have sufficient revenue to invest in the people of our State (I remember detesting that provision ever since becoming aware of it when learning about the Nevada Constitution at CCSN).

Nevada laws

I’m trying to write a mock bill for a project based on Nevada, and I want to make it unique as in—an issue we have in Nevada that should be addressed by proposing a bill. Is there any law that Nevada doesn’t have that we should?

DO NOT VOTE FOR CHRIS HICKS ON JUNE 9th. JUSTICE FOR WYATT NORTH

Hello guys,

My best friend Wyatt (21 year old male) was murdered in October outside of his apartment while getting home from work. he was shot once through the chest and 5 times in the back by a retired correctional officer. the man who did this then fled the scene and later claimed self defense once he was found to be the killer. there is an unbelievable amount of overwhelming evidence showing that this was not self defense. however, our current DA Chris Hicks won’t even hold a trial for the man. this is why I ask everyone to please vote for DA candidate Wes Duncan in the election on June 9th. the election is a closed republican primary so you must be registered as a republican to vote. change your registration if you must, but it is crucial that Wes Duncan is elected. even the detectives think the man should be tried, they have said that the only reason he is not being held responsible is because Chris Hicks told them not to open the case. chris hicks has failed so many others and this will continue to happen if he is re-elected. hicks only cares about his case win rate percentage and will not open Wyatt’s case if re-elected because he thinks it’s too difficult. please I beg you all to vote for Wes Duncan on June 9th so that Wyatt can have a chance at justice.

Reno Community Events — Last meet & greet and GOTV canvassing!

I’m inviting you all to come to my last meet & greet this Saturday, and to help my team and I GOTV for Election Day.

Click here for canvassing / door knocking

And for those who signed up for a sign and didn’t get one, I ran out, but Washoe Dems HQ has some of my last ones if you want to grab some! I have a good feeling about this primary, but if the worst scenario happens, hold onto your signs somewhere safe, just in case 😉.

Very interesting perspective regarding the validity and truthfulness of the "military background" of David Flippo. He recently got a house in Reno this year to run for Mark Amodei's seat representing Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District.
