I found a bunch of occlupanids in a bowl at my boyfriends house and just had to make some art with them :)
In the back of a kitchen drawer — ironically where many people lose/find their panids — I discovered a piece of soft netting that I use as an aerated cover for my jar.
So I found this little guy in the streets today, but now I don't know what to do.
I don't think they are native here (I'm in central Europe), and if they are, they are probably fairly rare. I also think his mouth is injured but I might be wrong.
I brought him home, since outside it's still over 30ºC and he would probably just die in the heat, I gave him a bath, and then he latched on my earring for a while, and now he's resting on my bed, but that's the extent of my knowledge.
First of all, what species is he? How do I care for him? Does he have any special dietary or environmental needs?
Any help is welcome, thanks!
the bulk of my occlupanids i can identify as they’re common but this one has me stumped!
off-white/eggshell white palpatophora magnastoma that a friend gifted to me <3 i've never seen this color before, so i'm not sure how common it is
i put it next to a white porrectofrontus mechadeus specimen for comparison
Cardboard occlupanid!!! Not sure of the species
I've only seen two different gray 'pannids, this P. obtusilateri and a P. utiliformis...
Studio cult used to sell bread tag bags, but I was never able to get my hands on one before they stopped making them. So I had a go at making my own! It’s a bit dodgy but I’m obsessed! Now to decorate I suppose, what do you think?
Little guy seems to be branded.. maybe it's breeder's origin? Found on potato bag in Wisconsin. Any care or release instructions would be appreciated, I'm completely new to occlupanids.
I ran out and have to get more, but this is the vision
