There is a simple reason why larpers think that there were dark magical girls before Madoka deconstructed the genre
Guess I'm the only younger fan who likes and enjoys older anime like Eureka Seven
This tweet seriously pisses me off. As a 22 year old who's been watching more and more anime recently, I love and enjoy old and modern shows. I've watched more in my adult years than my childhood and teen years and though I do feel kinda upset that I didn't watch much when I was younger, especially older stuff, I still managed to finish as many shows as I can over two years at this point. I like almost any genre and watch almost anything and this sort of gatekeeping makes me mad honestly. That said, it makes me angry when someone says it's a tragedy when they didn't grow up with x or y show, like they can still watch it for crying out loud as adults. Heck, I watched all the shows listed in that aforementioned tweet as an adult.
