Instruction Help?
Hey guys! I was thinking of folding this cool tessellation I found by Melina Hermsen that was posted on origami.me. The website said there were no instructions but I thought it looked really cool and wanted to try and make it. Do you guys have any idea what I should start by doing (after the hexagon grid, of course)
¿Alguien me podría recomendar sitios en donde pueda obtener flores de papel para armar?
(Espero que no me borren la publicación, solo quiero saber más sitios para poder armar más flores de papel 🥲🥲🥲)
CP for the cursed crane!
It's my first time making a cp and it's pretty complicated... you guys have to shape your own legs unfortunately, i think I'll just make a tutorial later :(
Jesus (Crucifixion) designed by Neelesh K.
Made from a single sheet of double tissue (44×44cm). The shaping was quite painful.
Eagle (Hoang Trung Thanh), folded by me. Paper: single tissue, 36x36cm
🚫 SAY NO TO NARGACUGA! ✅ SAY YES TO SMALL SHINY SMAUG! 🐉 Also, my kingdom for a foil which won't chip on the edges!
Bad jokes apart I love every dragon, so don't take the title too seriously! 😁 ❤️
I had the mood to try to fold a tiny dragon, and I succeeded! The silver foil is actually a choco wrapping paper (brand's name starts with a "K" and ends with "inder"), the other one is a foil paper what is gold on one side and white on the other.
Unfortunately, the latter was a bit thick, so the golden layer chipped a bit here and there... So if you could suggest me a better quality foil paper, I will give you five gangster points!
Oh, forgot to mention: the gold foil was 7,5 X 7,5 cm, the silver one was a bit smaller, around 6 X 6 cm.
Now go and fold tiny dragons, my fellow folders! 🐉
This dragon was designed by Bob Neale.

...I've been in such a bad burnout rut with origami, lately. This is the first model that I've managed to finish ever since folding that Doberman two weeks ago, out of several other models that I've started and then failed to complete for one reason or another.
I'm just glad to have finally made something, I guess.
Any pattern for this?
I did her course but thsi wasnt taughy
Origami Horse By Vibrant Hughes
Origami Horse
Size: 4' (cm) x 5' (cm)
Medium: Oil and acrylic
Support: Canvas
After some years of living in Alberta, and finding that my art doesn't have a large audience there, I began pondering how i could make my art more accessible to a prairie based viewer. Having already competed three pieces for my origami series i thought of this as an opportunity to bring a sense of action to these works.
Wild horses are a symbol of the west that is slowly being replaced by dreams of loud engines, and absurdly lifted trucks. In a world where their necessary habitat is being destroyed they could one day be a forgotten feature of the foothills.
Made an army of Snails!
Decided to go through all my books and diagrams and what I could find on the internet and made a ton of snails.

I also plan on creating a faux rock thing to display them on, and I'll probably remake a few at better sizes, in different papers. But it was a lot of fun!
This was all because I felt overwhelmed at the thought of attempting Yery J. Astroña's Snail on Leaves from Origami Masterpieces.
Gekko and fly on a wall - Herman van Goubergen (again)
Just wanted to share my attempt at making this beautiful piece by my bro Herman. (sry i know we've seen it a lot lately on this sub)
While undoubtedly challenging, I genuinely think this is one of the most elegant and clever origami designs I’ve ever seen. It also looks amazing framed, especially with the tail breaking the 4th wall.
This was my fourth attempt. I started with the recommended 30×30 cm square, but it felt a bit too small and made some parts unnecessarily tricky, so I eventually switched to 40 cm. That also makes the pre-creasing much easier, since the units are 1/40th of the side...
If you decide to give it a try, be prepared to unfold everything far more than you’d like 🫠 And keep in mind that some steps in the diagram aren’t necessarily in the best order. For example, step 15-16 of Stage IV is probably better done much earlier in the process (around the end of stage 2), when unfolding everything repeatedly won’t destroy both your sanity and the paper.
This cursed swan I made and folded
I'll make a crease pattern or something soon :)
(I couldn't find the same swan design anywhere so if you find it say it)
What do we think abt spray painting origami?
Spray painted some dogs today, waiting to see the results tmr. Can I spray paint my charizard orange? Or should I leave it brown?
I made this inspired by my cat I really enjoyed making it 😍✨️. My cat's name is Oshi.
