Hawas Black vs Afnan Supremacy CE

I already own Club de Nuit Intense Man Pure Parfum and I’m trying to avoid redundancy in my collection.

Which would add a more unique vibe:

\- Afnan Supremacy Collector’s Edition

or

\- Rasasi Hawas Black?

I know Supremacy CE is in the Aventus/Absolu lane, while Hawas Black seems darker and more nightlife-oriented. For people who’ve smelled both, which one feels less redundant next to CDNIM PP?

Confused about Rawaha

I got some testers from Rawaha. 4 5ml testers costed me more than 2k.

The perfumes are good but they barely last. I have a very sensitive nose and don't really like perfumes that last for the whole day because it gets annoying for me.

But the testers barely projected for 10-20 mins and then after about 2-3 hours I really had to try to get a whiff by pressing my nose against my wrist.

Is it just me? Isn't this house kinda highly rated? I really liked the scents but this performance at the price point that they have put on themselves.

If anyone else could share their experience, I would be really grateful. I want to buy them but I can't bring myself to do it.

A message to the community

I'm a frag-head who has collected over 250+ articles over the last decade or so. In the last couple of years, I got introduced to local houses by a friend, and my perception about perfumery changed quite a lot. I have been a part of many different communities on Facebook, such as PFC , Pakistan scent societies, etc. Some of the houses I have tried are Arome, Enchante, Balasmico, Scents & Stories, Sesky, Rawaha, and many more. However, in the last 2 years or so, I have noticed that the fragrance community, along with fragrance houses themselves, are becoming toxic. Perfumery has lost its essence, with both brands and consumers increasingly focused on 'numbers.' This is reflected in terms like '15+ hours lasting,' 'bomb,' and 'beast mode.' The community as well as the fragrance houses are equally to blame for this:

The community: I don't understand what's the obsession of applying something that lasts for 20+ hours. The goal is to apply something that SMELLS GOOD and only after that criteria is met, projection, sillage, and lasting matter. I feel like people don't really care about the notes or scent itself, and we have entered into a rat race of 'kis house ka perfume ziada last kerta hai'. Also, if you're applying a fresh fragrance, how on Earth can you expect it to last for 20+ hours man. Local houses are selling these articles for 3,000rs or so. If you feel like you can no longer smell the perfume after a couple of hours, just reapply. Reapplying the perfume with 4-5 sprays is not going to be the end of the world. This constant pressure on local houses for 'performance' , 'projection' , 'sillage' ruins the entire point. Houses start pumping up the oil concentration, and while on paper it might sound good, it actually makes the matter worse. You might be able to smell the perfume on your shirt for much longer but it won't project as much. There is a reason why brands have a balanced concentration.... more doesnt always mean better!

The Houses: The houses need to tone it down a bit with the marketing. 20+ hours lasting, 'khushbu chipak gayi hai' needs to stop. This creates unrealistic expectations for the community, which sets an unrealistic baseline standard of a perfume lasting for 15 hours. When they actually receive the article and there is no 15-hour projection that was promised, the member loses his shit and starts ranting on the group. The member does not make any future purchases from the house, and the house loses a customer, all because of overpromising. The member then jumps on to another house and has the same experience. The irony is that the article might be great in terms of the profile, sillage, lasting, and projection. Because of the unrealistic promises made by the brand before the member got the article, it eventually leads to the brands demise.

Conclusion: Try out different articles from different houses, and if you're purchasing a fresh article, please donot expect the projection to be more than 6-7 hours and that too with atleast 10 sprays in this heat. Focus more on what actually smells good/gets you compliments rather than what 'projects' more.

Anyone who says Club de Nuit is a good Aventus clone is out of their mind😭

What is this absolute synthetic lemony garbage? Comparing this with Aventus is blasphemous.

So i have been using the OG aventus since 2016 now and sparingly of course because of how expensive it is. I am relatively new to the clone/impression world even though i have known about this one for a while now but personally i wanted to stick with the OGs because i was biased against dupes. After much hype i finally pulled the trigger on this one a few months ago and let it macerate for 3 months to not make any judgments unless it was ready to use. And behold this trash is still TRASH. This is literally not even 50% of the OG Aventus. This has such a synthetic sharp lemony opening which is headache inducing and has no pineapple note in the opening for which Aventus is known for.

Performance wise this is good lasts easily 7-8 hours but profile is 2/10.

Verdict: save your money and avoid this trash. Local houses are doing a million times better and here’s my ranking:

  1. Rawaha Invincible Killer
  2. Enchante Majesty zz01
  3. Balsamico Monarch

Streets of Cairo (Matured beast) under 2k PKR

Hey everybody how r u guys doing? So today I have a reccomendation for you guys for the summer and it's streets of cairo by scents and stories which is an impression of Hawas. Got this bottle 9 months ago as an engagement gift, and it's actually my 2nd bottle (blasted through the first one in about 2-3 months because I love the DNA). To be honest, I actually prefer this over the OG Hawas—it has a slightly more "soapy" vibe that just hits right.

When I first opened it, lasting power was around 4-5 hours. Totally fair and justified for the price point. But fast forward 9 months later... maceration is real, guys.

Put it to the ultimate test this past Saturday.

It was 44°C heat, and I was going out for a cricket match.

Applied 2 sprays on each side of the neck, plus a few on clothes and hands. Left the house at 4:30 PM.

4:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Absolutely loud projection. It was cutting through the 44°C heat like crazy for 1.5 hours.

The Twist: Came back home, washed up, and relaxed. Fast forward to 3:00 AM (11 hours later)—I scratched my neck, and the scent rubbed off onto my fingers so strongly it shocked me.

Easily 11+ hours of total longevity now that the bottle has sat for a while. It projects heavily for the first 1.5 to 2 hours, and clearly stays a close-range bubble for the rest of the day. If you have this bottle, let it sit for a few months. It turns into an absolute beast for the summer.
