What's the hype around Aika about?

So whenever I see hopes/expectations for Revival, one of the most common responses I see is for Aika from the persona 4 anime to added, either as a cameo or even a social link, but I never really saw what the hype was about.

Going off of what we see in the anime, there isn't really all that much to her, she's a one note comic relief character whose whole schtick is that she's always working, and will always show up to deliver her food... And that's about it, I guess it could be her personality but all her dialogue is about her one joke and doesn't really say anything aside from that.

I guess it could be her design, I can see kinda see the appeal even though she looks extremely similar to one of the female Yasogami students just with a red hair clip, part of me thinks it is actually that since if the Aiya owner had a son with one of the male student designs with the exact same joke and personality there wouldn't be nearly as many people asking for his inclusion in revival.

Don't get me wrong however, even though I haven't exactly been positive about Aika, I don't hate her, I don't even dislike her, I just kinda see her as she was in the Anime, as a one note recurring joke, and that's all I really feel about her, I guess since there's so little there's a decent amount of potential but literally anything could have potential if there's so little to go off of, like the Mitsuru fangirl or half the characters in the fox's link, in fact the anime kinda did that where characters like Shu and Sayoko became fox requests. Again, I don't hate Aika, I just see her as a joke, so kinda funny sometimes but that's about it

I just pre-ordered P4 Revival for my first Persona game [NO SPOILERS]

I’ve been keeping an eye on the Persona games over the last couple months.

This year I’ve started to dive more into JRPG’s more and more. What started with my love for the Yakuza series a couple years ago and the strong stories they bring, along with the amazing character development and music. I started learning Japanese earlier this year purely from my love for the Yakuza series.

I moved onto Final Fantasy X recently. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on these games growing up. I’ve always been a huge Pokemon fan and played through all the mainline series plus a few ROM hacks. What got me into turn-based games actually was Balders Gate 3 when it released, and that became my top game of all time.

I knew I was going to dive into Persona sometime soon, and I decided to preorder P4 Revival. Do you think I should jump into P3 Reload between now and February? (I already know the answer, I just wanted to open a discussion because I can see myself falling in love with this series already)

p.s. if anyone else is learning Japanese, I assume these games are great for immersion with a lot of “slice of life” aspects to it?

Should I get Persona 4 Golden or wait for Revival? [NO SPOILERS]

Hi!
I'm a very recent fan of the Persona series overall and I just beat Persona 5 Royal recently and got the Royal Ending! I wanted to play Persona 3 Reload after some time and I plan to.
I wanna play Persona 4 after beating P3R but I wasn't sure if I should get Golden first on Steam or wait for Revival to release so I can experience all the new stuff Revival adds.
I checked out the trailer of Revival and it looks amazing! I'm really curious to see how the game would be like, I just wanted to ask for some advice on which game to take, Golden now or Revival when it releases?

[SPOILERS] I seriously love how they made this boss fight in P4R look like the perfect mix of the original game and golden. I hope this stays true for the rest of the dungeons throughout the game especially the ones near the end.

[NO SPOILERS] Man the emotion that even Yu shows is soooo good. I’m probably wrong and just forgot but I rly don’t recall seeing this type of expression in p5 or p3r from the protag. Regardless I love how Yu looks here.

[NO SPOILERS] Wada yet again states that no characters personalities have been removed/changed for P4R. What was removed was the bike attacks which if you ask me is fair considering it was complete RNG and we already have more than enough mechanics. Some ppl may not like it tho.

SEES and Phantom Thieves DLC Costume reveal for Persona 4 Revival [no spoilers]

Sega has put DLC on thier P4R page and we got to see more oufits for the P3R SEES and P5R Phantom Thieves DLC

P3R SEES Costumes

Yu - Makoto

Chie - Yukari

Kanji - Shinjiro

Naoto - Ken

P5R Phantom Thieves Costumes

Yu - Joker

Yosuke - Fox

Yukiko - Panther

Rise - Oracle

It also states that Yu has 2 Phantom Thief outfits and it no longer states that Teddie has 2 SEES outfits

Anyways I personally thought the SEES Costumes would of been the P4 cast with SEES Gear and the Gekkoukan Uniform but its actually them wearing the respective characters outfits

[NO SPOILERS] Yukiko and Yosuke aren't holding weapons in their critical animations

Noticed this a bit ago. I'm guessing it's cause the game's unfinished but maybe it's intentional? Like maybe these animations are pre-rendered and therefore can't display different types of weapons. Probably not cause Yosuke hits the card as if he's holding a weapon. And a certain party member would look dumb without a weapon.
