[gendered] idk if this belongs here but genuinely why is he/him the default pronoun for so many

Like genuinely we have a gender neutral one since old English actually and yet modern internet use he/him

Went looking at journal prompt books with my kid and we found this. [advert]

She chose a non-gendered one instead and asked me to post this.

Pay no mind to the volume bar and its indication of my screenshot skills.

Gender neutral bathroom! Oh wait... [Gendered]

The bathroom has the 🚻 symbol outside but the stalls inside are gendered? They are exactly the same inside so idk why that was needed

Kinder Joy Still Only Has “Boy” and “Girl” Versions

I saw Kinder Joy at 7-Eleven recently and noticed they still split the product into “boy” and “girl” versions with different colours, themes, and character designs.

As someone who does not exactly identify with the gender binary, it feels a bit strange seeing products still marketed so heavily around a strict gender binary, especially for something as simple as a chocolate toy.

It made me wonder why companies still don’t offer a more neutral option alongside the existing ones.

Does anyone else here notice or feel uncomfortable with this kind of gendered marketing?

[Gendered] You need to be a MAN to put your soap into these mesh bags

I guess the mesh is too rough for soft, delicate woman skin?
