Give me your Ideas for a Crossover with the Anime

Simple, give me ideas involving the manga and anime characters and Ill draw them. Note: I already have some ideas I'm working on (Namely Crys and Go, and a Blue and Ash's excessive number of love interests joke)

This isn't so much so as a request offer, as it is more of an open to suggestions. But I hope to draw as many as I can

I'll make the post later btw (Hopefully I get a few ideas lol)

Another panel coloring

Couldn’t tell which background color I liked better, so here’s both.

I had fun doing my last one, so I did one again! More from the Yellow arc lol. It’s one of my favorites.

Can’t say I like this coloring too much, I got really bored of doing it but I made myself finish 🫡 the last one got some attention which lowkey surprised me lol. Thanks u. And thanks bulbapedia for having a surprisingly high quality version of this panel. The dialogue is cut out, but whatevs. It’s pretty hard to get good quality Pokespe panels lol

Questions I have about the fandom

I have read and enjoyed the PokéSpe manga for years, but have only recently gotten into the community outside the few friends and family I have who know already. Also, when attempting to research these answers, I stumbled upon a news article from one of those gaming websites talking about the fandom and their controversies. It brought up things I knew, but instead of clarifying, it simply confused me more.

  1. Out of the readers of the manga, what estimate of total is Japan, America, UK, or other?

  2. Due to the fact the manga is labeled for kids, is the fanbase younger or older?

3: I knew about the problems with Green/Blue, but is it actually that big of a deal, or simply a matter of preference at this point?

(This arose from the article, and I know that it was likely exaggerated, but my few months actively observing and participating in the fandom/subreddit didn't clarify anything)

Bonus. WHeN arE We GEtTinG VOluMe 65?!? (Or even English 64)

Rayquaza & Volume 65

ok this is like TOTAL crackpot idealism, but this summer/fall Ray has ALOT going for em, he's getting 2 TCG sets, mobile and not, Go is giving em fests, a whole dang LEGO set, a big push in the Anime (like we got 2 seperate Rays in the anime), the literal giveaway card for Pokemon XP, and other like general merch stuff

like ALOT of stuff, esp for one mon, and like.... cmon how funny would it be if Volume 65 came out soon in a random drop LOL

How Pokemon Adventures' censored domestic violence compared to Pokemon Special

The Japanese release of the manga Pokemon Adventures features some scenes of parent-on-child violence. Mostly, it's Norman towards his son Ruby.

  • In one issue of GSC, Crystal's mom gives her a slap. In context, iirc, it is not meant to be abusive. But, corporal punishment and hitting children in general is a very sensitive topic. So, it was changed to a stern glare.
  • In the RSE arc, Norman is very physically aggressive towards his son Ruby. His abuse includes smacking him around and yelling at him a lot. Somehow, Viz was able to censor this... kind of. I bet kids can tell it's weird, but it's legible.

Pokemon Adventures was once under Viz's "Viz Kids" line. I don't think that still exists, but it is still considered a manga aimed at the 8-12 year old middle grade market.

In Japan, Pokemon Special is a kodomomuke manga. It's a general kid's manga, not shonen (aimed at boys) or shojo (aimed at girls). It's been in magazines aimed at anywhere from 3rd year elementary students to 6th grade ones. Currently, it is a Monthly CoroCoro comic.

But, Japan has different standards for violence in children's media (especially visual media). It's also worth noting that these chapters are 20+ years old. What was acceptable then may not be now.

So, the American English release (and other similar releases) by Viz censored the violence. The slaps were removed and replaced.
