Hello guys! I just caught this little fella in my kitchen last night. I don't know what he is, how old, or how to care for this little man. I'd really like to keep him for a little while but have no idea how to feed him or where to get him food. I've currently got him in a temporary enclosure with excellent ventilation and a paper towel on the bottom. I've misted him a bit and tried to feed him a mealworm that I normally give my Venus fly trap and he strikes and seems to nibble but eventually drops it. He's also doing the little side to side dance.

I’m located in New York, USA and I’m looking for:

• Fresh ootheca(s)
• Fertile ootheca(s)
• Or a breeder who expects to have them available soon.

I’ve kept orchid mantises before and currently have several other mantids and invertebrates. I’m looking to expand my collection and would love the opportunity to hatch and raise a group from an ootheca.

If you have any available, know a reputable breeder, or can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it!

Found this ootheca in an outlet box outside. Has it hatched yet and is this an adequate incubator if not?

This isn’t rage bait it’s genuinely the best I know how to do. I’m trying. Will this be okay ?
