Trying to figure out if some of the lyrics in "Wake Up" are sampled or an original recording.

Best guess at the words so far:

"The whole quantity of life is really energy, and our mind is always trying to make that energy look and feel in some sense uncomfortable, and this is really how life is for all of us, that we live next to that energy, that we need to find our answer. And you have to understand on the simplest level that you open and love..."

Feels like it could be pulled from a talk on consciousness/spirituality (kind of an Alan Watts-ish vibe), but I can't place it. Anyone recognize the voice or know the actual source?

Any assistance filling in the gaps would be greatly appreciated. :)

I would say as a PLF this last week has been stressful to say at least .. but I’m definitely excited to see what lies in store in the future indeed . Problem I'm having; I use a 3rd Party MP3 player to listen to tunes on my phone (RIP Google Music App)

Got pretty much all the PL discography on there as well as some favorites.

Ive been listening to the new tunes the past coupe days (of course! SO good!) - and I see recently a download link has been made available.

Well, I downloaded the tunes, and for some reason my 3rd Party MP3 player (Pulsar if info needed) keeps crashing when I try to play the new tunes!makes it about 4 seconds into the song.

Is that my device being an issue? The Pulsar app? Or the PL tunes/how I downloaded them? Not at all technologically savvy.. 😭

Listening to a new album for the first time in over a decade has definitely been a breath of fresh air. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some swirls. I can swirl all day. There’s just something about hearing these newer tracks in their original, unswirled, soundboard quality versions.
Almost like I forgot how good Derek is at mastering tracks. Anyone else in the same boat?

How fast we think this will sell out? I dont get paid til the 15th so hopefully I can still buy then. Fox has a 2,800 capacity so that's got me concerned

Even some songs that I thought were “mid” at times throughout tour have so many sounds layered in and tightened up. Not a singular cringe moment or sample across every song.

Then that’s not giving justice to some of the other songs just because they have been played more. But take hot like rox for example. Or the biggest one for me is trip thru time. That was almost a certain skip for me until hearing the studio version.

Am I biased to say it’s also the most approachable and certainly most modern album (obviously on last point). Like showing people PL I might have to a start here from now on

Darren and Mike co producing tracks together again has some true potency. Was surprised to see that it’s just them on the credits for that track, but also not. The sound design on these jawns do not leave anything on the table.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but that little baseline sample in chasing rainbows is from a song called Angry John by a band called Poe.

How do you get constellation 4 and the rest for listen / download? Does it work after you hit support

I’m curious how this will affect the live jams? I know the scratching will be missed. I’m really impartial to jams that feel a little more improvisation, how much did Karns contribute to this and how much will his absence be noticed?
