FOV piggy shake down

This was the second time I saw cops performing this MO. They walk up behind someone sneakily and start to look over the people's shoulders. If you squirm they increase the pressure to see if they can find a reason to shake down the citizens. The video starts right after the piggy pile posted up right in front of me.

This is not cool.

Always record the popo. It is our superpower and our first amendment right.

Police brutality at FOV

Hey so we all know cops were out of control this weekend, but this particular officer seemed to be a leading cause of violence. He is a contracted officer from Alamosa county, which seemed to make him think that there were no consequences for his actions.
He violently arrested at least 5 people that I know of, made false claims, and threatened innocent people who were trying to help diffuse the situations. No Miranda rights were read in any of these situations and none of it was done by the book.
He got very aggressive with me when I asked for his info, and gloated to me that his job is “a lot like fishing. You can’t catch them all, but you catch as many as you can.” He was having fun getting paid to run around a field and terrorize peaceful people.
This guy has no business on the streets, let alone working a festival for “public safety”.
His badge number is 10, his name is Joshua Glass, and he is a detective with the Alamosa police department. I encourage any of you who had any negative experiences with him to call and lodge official complaints. Ask for body cam footage. You can reach the Alamosa PD at (719)-589-2548.
“Fishing for fishies don’t make them feel happy. Or me neither. I feel so sorry for fishies.”

YD Thursday early arrival

I bought early arrival and now want to arrive Friday instead. Is there anyway to sell my pass or is it attached to my name? I’m worried if I sell it then arrive on Friday, they’ll be like, you already arrived or something. Or we won’t have camping?? Idk what are your thoughts???

FOV 2 was incredible!! But.. fu*k the mf police

Saturday night, my crew got back to our campsite after the gizz show. Incredible 2 days so far at the festival. Nothing but beautiful people and vibes! We were riding such a high from the vibes and music. Before the late night show, we were hangin at our campsite. 20-30 mins later, my campsite got raided by 4-6 cops. My husband and our friend were harassed and our friend eventually got arrested. My husband got a summons for “consumption over the age of 21” for literally nothing. They couldn’t find anything on my husband and they kept trying to search him until they found something. We are in utter disbelief, especially because this space was advertised as nothing but an extremely safe place. We didn’t let it ruin the last night yesterday, but holy shit. Never in my life did I think SHERIFFS would invade our home / “campsite” after the main headliner of the festival (gizz). I will most definitely be sending meadow creek an email about this 💔

Yahn Dawn II - Cop Monitoring

Hey everyone, hope we're all is excited for our return to Meadow Creek this year!

I wanted to touch base with the community in regards to the recent events at Field Of Vision last weekend. Things were weird. Really weird.

Chaffee County Sheriff's Office seemingly engaged in a prejudiced, targeted drug enforcement operation against the guests of the festival. I've collected statements and reports from over fifty people so far who were detained, ticketed, or arrested by police at all hours of the day/night. There were campground raids, warrantless searches, coercive detainment interrogations, frivolous tickets like "Public Intoxication" after admitting to substance consumption while under duress, and more.

I'm currently collecting as much detailed information as I can on this situation, and so I'm coming here both to inform the Yahn Dawn community of the police risk this year and to ask you all to collect as much video evidence as you can of any police interactions this year.

See a camp get raided, a guest getting arrested or detained, any personal, vehicle, or camp searches, ANYTHING that looks like police overreach, record it and send it to me.

If you experience anything that resembles what I've described here, send me your case number and the identification of the arresting/ticketing officers and I'll pull their body cam data after the event concludes.

Based on the contentious city council meetings last year, the verbal discussions I heard from police this year, and the massive public record of overreach coming from guests at FOV, I believe we're looking at a massive constitutional violation from the CCSO intended to punish the venue and the festivals for having anti-police sentiments.

BE SMART, BE SAFE!!

yahn dawn with a disability?

Was about to pull the trigger on VIP and everything but ended up blowing out my knee recently. Was anyone there last year with crutches or wheelchair? I was there and am imagining it’s going to be fucking brutal with crutches or wheelchair but would like to hear from anyone that did it last year, thanks fam!

Field of Pigs

Is anyone else getting tired of watching the cops snatch people all weekend? They're not just enforcing the fire ban. Saw them grabbing people for pulling out zip lock bags. Been seeing them tear through camp on their Polaris looking for anyone doing any drugs.

It feels like they're being hyper aggressive. I've been to plenty of festivals with heavy police presence but they were never this rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. They're acting like a bunch of thugs.

I support the fire ban. Totally fair to ticket people for burning stuff. But creating a hostile environment and tackling people for rummaging through their backpack at the cinema at 2:30am isn't keeping anyone safe.

I hope they pick a new venue next year. Buena Vista doesn't feel safe to party in.

Music producer help

I’ve been chopping, rearranging, and adding my own flavor to ‘The Sun Spreads in our Mind’ using the stems they provided and hoping to get some feedback from any music producers out here.

I recorded the track in a jam sesh with samplers and synths and try to get everything balanced and fitting right with glitching and playing a few things in.

Would much appreciated feedback and suggestions to take it to the next level.

Cap VIP entry time

Everything I see says doors open 6:30.

Checked my ticket and emails but didn’t see any notation of time for early entry VIP time.

Or am I missing it?

Able to move up if better seats are open?

Have balcony tickets for Sunday at the cap and just noticed how many seats are still available, are they usually pretty strict about having to stay in your seat? Would like to maybe move up if there are seats open closer to the front.

Twizzled - Fountain of the Immaculate

This album goes so hard. Heater after heater. Reminds me of old school Pretty Lights and late night radio…except mixed better and more bass 😵‍💫

Yahn Dawn fire ban level 2

Anyone else that is currently at Field of Vision can attest to this, as I assume the rules & regulations won’t change in the next month.

Let it be known, there is nooooo smoking permitted at Meadow Creek. Like none. Don’t do it.

Statewide issued Fire Ban in Level 2.

edit
There are about 8 or 9 scattered smoking sections throughout the venue. Described, this area is quite literally a small circle that the park has sanded out, with water buckets in the middle to dump your butts. Plus the signs aren’t even marked that clearly.

Choose to f*ck around & find out?

Local police have been going around and sneaking up on festival attendants and writing them citations for $750!Talk about a way to completely ruin your weekend.

Your campsite? Your tent? Your car? Sure f*ck around, but these same police have been spotted in campsites and detailing down every row. Even saw some outside our site around 4am.

Don’t be that guy that reads this an still chooses to be careless.

I didn’t even mention the dangers of someone carelessly flicking a cig or joint into some brush. Just be smart, aware, and look out for the safety of everyone💜 an make sure this community is always invited back.

Port Chester NY shows!

Hi! I’m planning to see Pretty Lights (first time, woo!) this coming weekend for my birthday in Port Chester. I’m curious, does he usually make each day significantly different from one another? Like is Saturday the more energetic day and Sunday is more chill/come down? Or are all three days expected to be the same level of energy?? When he’s played three-day shows in the past do they usually differ significantly?
