My first pair of used shoes - 1998 burgundy leeds in shell cordovan

I went to go buy a calfskin pair of leeds from the website and saw they don't sell them anymore - only in cordovan. So I figured maybe I try the used market. After 20 minutes of brushing and a little saphir, I think they cleaned up well

My $200 BIFL cordovan dress shoes

These currently retail for $850 - bought a pair from poshmark in my size for $200 shipped. A horsehair brush and a little polish later, I couldn't be happier with them. They are burgundy but it seems most of the purple has faded over the years. I like the brown.

I spent way too much time and effort chasing all 100s and finally decided that it is a stupid metric to achieve.

I know no one probably cares, but I got sucked into seeing how difficult it is to get all 100s on a real world site - it was hard and I give up. The core web vitals have always been good and that's what matters. Unless your webpage is incredibly tiny, mobile performance will be slow.

My DIY Mosquito Trap

I made a comment in my post here about my DIY Mosquito Trap. Here's the rundown. If you have nothing laying around it'll be about $75 to get all the parts. The BG mosquitoaire costs $200 so this is quite a bit less but does require about 15 minutes of work

Can I prune this time of year? [Dallas]

I've got about five trees that look like this. They are two years old. They were less than half this size and pruned pretty hard with an open vase shape. No fruit this year on any of them. Now they are all growing crazy fast and filling in the interior space. It is in the 90s here and only getting hotter - is it OK to prune now?
