How do you guys feel about RE6’s recent reappraisal by some fans?

It seems we’ve enough years have passed that people are finally starting to soften on RE6 somewhat and are starting to hold in somewhat higher regard among other entries. Like, I’ve seen some people rank it above entries like Zero or even RE3-make.

What are your thoughts? For me it’s shocking to see a game so passionately hated at its release and considered for years to be a series low start to gradually crawl its way back into favor, if only a little bit.

RE Tierlist from 40 years + Veteran

I've beaten every game in the series at least two times and my ranking is mostly based on replayability and entertainment factor.

Why do I rank the new trilogy so low? Replayability.

Gun Survivor in S? Yes, it's hilarious and I hate that no one understands the brilliance.

My RE tier list

Edit: I meant to have 2 Remake above 4 Remake, but other than that the list is in my personal correct order lol.

Got bored and made a tier list. Feel like it’s a pretty vanilla take, I wouldn’t say I ranked the OG games high out of nostalgia. I played RE1, 2, 3 and Code Veronica all recently, having played the remakes first. First RE was 4 in 2009.

I still need to play 0, 6, and plan to play all the other spinoffs like Gaiden, Outbreak games, Survivor games etc.

I do really enjoy every Resident Evil game I’ve played so far, but yeah I have these in order of favorite to least favorite.

Hot take: Re3r is a good game

It’s just a bad remake.

While it’s nowhere near as fun to play as like re2/re2r, re4/re4r, re9, etc. it’s fun to play. The beginning part is really good, and the fighting is fun, also the story is fun.

My only issue with gameplay is it’s very linear.

The issue is it’s a horrible remake. It ruined nemises, and made him just a bunch of boss fights, took away multiple sections, and changed the gameplay.

Comparing it to the og re3 the game sucks, because we missed out so much. But ignoring that it’s a remake, it’s truly not that bad.

Still wish they’d remake the remake so it’s more accurate.
