How historicalli accurate would be to use Wargames Atlantic Foot Knights as Teutonic infantry?

Basically, what the title says! I'm thinking about getting the Baron's war and use some of the infantry for teutonic and some for poles. Would it be an accurate representation if I change some of the helmets?

Condottieri - strategy & tactics

Hey there, I recently had a match with my Condottieri (Milan) vs Burgundy and the defeat made me rethink my strategy.

I fielded:

Hero (mounted, barded), 1,5 pt HG (mounted, barded), 1 pt warriors, 1 pt warriors (pavese), 1 pt levies (crossbow), 0,5 pt Cannon (mercenary). I chose the Milan subfaction for having a stronger HG which counts always as disciplined.

I managed to bottleneck my opponent between the terrains, trying to rout his front units with HG charges while hitting with the cannon and the crossbows. Problem is that I didn't manage to hit hard enough and my HGs ended up being and anvil instead of a hammer.

I think my main mistakes were putting too much importance on them and relying on the cannon which in the end is way to aleatory and ended up just giving fatigue tokens around.

For the next matches I was wondering how to change my list:

  1. removing the crossbowmen, using two cannons to spread fatigue tokens around, bringing the HG to 4 and in place deploying a unit of mounted warriors. Subfaction Venice for the free determination rule to give to one of the artillery.

  2. removing the Cannon altogether and in place deploying a more hard-hitting melee mercenary force, eventually shifting to Romans or Florentines for dice bonuses.

Cheers, every suggestions is welcome!

What can I do with these guys?

https://preview.redd.it/nxmi81jnyj0h1.png?width=2048&format=png&auto=webp&s=76d42199946c4af1ba072bc3d561bf1d166d6498

I really love these miniatures and I bought a set before starting playing SAGA.

Now I want to buy another set and build them... but what can I do with them? Franks? Saxons? Please, don't say Vikings...

Any advice on kitbashing, if needed, to do something legit?

In my community, people don't play with Old Friends, so no Germanic Peoples. And they are a bit strict about "count-as".

Thanks.

SAGA Ordensstaat post-FAQ secret sauce... has anyone found it yet?

Hi folks,

I've been searching for articles about the Ordensstaat and most things I read or watched on youtube are from the original Age of Crusades release or based in the "old" version of it.

The 2024 FAQ changed this faction a lot but it seems no one has dared to experiment enough to "break" it in terms of lists and gameplay.

Does anyone has any hints about it or any cool articles I can get my eyes on?

I have a lot of Fireforge miniatures boxes, some already assembled but I have quite a lot to assemble... but I look at the board and the options and I don't see any "picture" as I did with previous SAGA factions.

Thanks in advance.

Cannon for Age of Chivalry

The cannon was made of paper and PVC, and the crew was made of Perry miniatures with a little conversion.

Briton's mounted hearthguards warband (with Arthur!) assaulting levies of Saxons! (6 points)

Scenario generated with clash of heroes cards: many swamps, half movement the 2 first turns, diagonal deployment, unit target and endgame if a warlord is killed.

Huge defeat for the Britons but fatastic snowy battle!

Battle-damaged/ weathered medieval

Battle damaged/weathered miniatures

Hi all.. I’m not the greatest fan of painting bright colours (not my comfort zone)

I’ve painted a lot of medieval models recently, bright heraldic reds, blues, yellows…

I’ve always loved battle damage.

Does anyone have any photos of their battle-damaged/ heavily weathered models for some
inspiration? Please

I’m thinking.. this is mid/ after a battle , I want them covered in mud, blood and grime

Also… anyone ever used streaming grime oil wash method ? I’m considering it

Thanks all!
