manga as a collection of sins
Just had a thought that the manga works as a collection of every sin.
If Takeuchi's goal was to get every sin, then she did a good job.
Let's admire her job of getting every sin.
Which sins did Takeuchi get?
===
Lust: in what way is "lust" represented?
Takeuchi wanted romance novels, not manga. Takeuchi wrote Sailor Moon like a romance novel, not manga. ALL manga characters are motivated by lust, not love. Usagi loves Mamo-chan for his deep eyes and warm hands, not his personality. Pluto wants Mamoru for his purple suit - the physicality - not something spiritual. All people desire Usagi but manga!Usagi does not have positive characteristics to be admired for - all these people who want her, only explain their desire with always the same picture of Usagi laughing. Meaning - they only want her body, not her soul. Usagi only praises people for their looks, never their personalities. The whole manga is one never-ending celebration of lust. Everybody forcing kisses onto everybody, Chibiusa is 900 that seriously wants her father, the amazon quartet is 11y.o. dressed like strippers to show off their 11y.o. bodies. Years go by and the villain outfits get more and more revealing, they're all just wearing bikinis by 1995. Body, body, body - that's the manga.
The only reason Eternal Sailor Mon is not wearing a bikini is because Takeuchi designed that for the musicals' sake, those need baggy costumes because actors come and go but costumes stay, so the costumes need to be extra large to fit any actor, so bikinis don't work for that. That's why Eternal Sailor Moon is modest. If there were no musicals, the main sailors would all be in bikinis in year 5.
The manga is always telling stories of lewd nature - everybody is motivated by lust. The manga gives them fanservice outfits but doesn't shove their bodyparts into extreme closeups. The manga is trying to find the correct dosage of lewdness it wants to present? Or maybe just Takeuchi not caring to draw anatomy.

Gluttony: as in, "overconsumption of anything". The franchise as a whole represents overconsumption - more and more sailors and enemies every year, creating a huge crowd of characters.
Examples of gluttony in the manga:
Kaguya story: Chibiusa proposes they help Luna get another guy. That's them practically EATING Diana for the sake of Luna having a night of cheating. Luna has Artemis but also wants Kakeru, that's both gluttony and lust.
Haruka had Michiru before Haruka met Usagi, then Haruka was chasing Usagi at the same time with having Michiru, then Haruka went back to Michiru. The act of keeping both Usagi and Michiru at the same time, is gluttonous.
Usagi wanting Haruka is kind of gluttonous too.
Also: arc 3, Chibiusa wants Hotaru. Arc 4, Chibiusa wants Helios. Arc 5, Chibiusa: "Usagi! Look! Me and Hotaru are holding hands the same way you and Mamoru hold hands!" Little glutton. :) I wonder if Hotaru and Helios are willing to share!

Greed: the characters basically talk bout nothing but material goods. Those audio dramas written by Takeuchi - the characters dedicate half the time to talking about the things they want. One audio drama, Rei has spent a year lusting after some guy because she likes his uniform shirt, but she never saw his face! Takeuchi in the original publication, was putting author's notes into the manga, where she would talk about nothing but her purchases, those author's notes were her "shopping blog". The plot is always about possessing things, all characters are written as possessions to somebody else, all characters are always dehumanized and treated like objects at the same time as being portrayed as possessions - all characters are basically objects owned by somebody, usually Usagi. The manga is all about possessing goods. People are goods.
===
Sloth: odd for this to be present because this is meant to be a hero story, meant to pretend to be a hero story. That should mean the characters are always doing something, never idling. But.
The Crystal Tokyo can be seen as an example of sloth: the characters left humanity, left human life, locked themselves in their palace. Sort of: refusing to live. Idling in their palace. And that's their happy ending, the goal they're working towards: to lock themselves in a palace and never leave.
And then the Black Moon attacks and in the manga the future sailors are not protecting humanity, only protecting the palace. Can't be bothered with humanity, that's actually about superiority - "humans don't matter!" - but can be called sloth too.
===
Wrath: I'm not sure of any direct examples of the main characters doing something they shouldn't.
But an indirect example can be: Usagi always k-lling all enemies. In the anime, she's healing the enemies, probably hates k-lling them. In the manga, Usagi just k-lls everybody, usually in anger. If we are to say that manga!Usagi has the ability to save people but doesn't take it, then her k-lling all enemies is an act of wrath.
===
Envy: pretty much the whole manga. Every plot is always about envy. Serenity saw the Earth and envied the earthlings. Implication is that Endymion was Beryl's boyfriend and Serenity stole him, Serenity envied Beryl having Endymion. Then Beryl envies Usagi having Mamoru. Every enemy is motivated by greed and envy over Usagi's POWER.
===
Pride: the primary point of the manga. Gods are superior to humans. Manga!Usagi and her human family aren't getting along so well, because Usagi is a higher being that doesn't belong among humans. The sailors can't get along with humans for the same reason. So their happy ending is their Crystal Palace: humans are not allowed to enter it, the sailors do not invite humans into their home. Why? Pride is the only answer. They are simply BETTER than humans. They don't invite humans into their home because the feel disdain for humans.
Same reason why the characters are written as property to somebody else: Usagi has more power, sailors have less power, so of course the sailors get on their knees before Usagi. Why does Usagi allow others to get on their knees before her? She likes it when people kneel to her.
A scene in which somebody kneels to Usagi and Usagi accepts the kneeling, is a scene of Usagi participating in pride.

If Takeuchi wanted to get sins, then Takeuchi did a good job getting sins.
Any other good examples of the manga presenting sins on its pages?
