Date idea for yall, go water color on our beaches at sunset

It’s so much fun and so romantic, I’m telling yall, if you need to take your person on a date or you need a first date idea, this is it. Grab a bottle of wine and some to go sushi and take it to the next level

27m 26f - what to do

Girlfriend and I realized we don’t do anything in our free time. Work, eat, sleep, chill on our weekends and prepare for the work week… falling into the normal cycle a lot do. Starting to forget what our hobbies are. It’s just work at this point. What would you recommend us to do? We forgot what we like to be honest, working and recouping is just who we are now. Any advice?

Thanks for the recommendations for fishing

Thank you for the recommendations for captain Brian of breakwater charters. We went out yesterday and it was one of the best days ever! He had some great spots, was a funny, personable guy and even he got excited when I landed this 39” snook! We caught grouper, red snapper, mackerel, trout, and snook! Saw dolphins and manatees, and saw some tarpon too but they were gone too quick to catch lol.

Closed Indian Beach Park?

Hello,

Just wondering why Indian Beach Park is closed. Is it permanent or temporary? They put up a big fence and a sign that says Park Closed, does anyone know why?

AVOID BLUE PEARL PET HOSPITALS

AVOID!! Please go to a privately owned Veterinary, for the sake of your precious pet! Blue Pearl is part of one the largest companies in the world, MARS, (the candy company). They own over 2000 vet hospitals in the world and their doctors are paid more if they bill you more! Here's part of our story.....

Our healthy 2.5-year-old dog Teddy was admitted to BluePearl Sarasota with seizures. Within an hour, while Teddy was alive in their hospital and we sat in the waiting room, BluePearl emailed us an iINVOICE FOR HIS CREMATION (I didn't see the email until 3 days later).

The next afternoon, 2 veterinary specialists were called on the phone and both gave the same advice: start antibiotics and steroids if we could not afford the $6000 MRI. The recommended treatment was affordable. We could have done it that afternoon.

But we were never told about the recommended treatment!

For the next 18 hours, Teddy suffered terribly, frantic, adverse reaction to the drug he was on. His fever climbed to 105.9 degrees. He hadn't slept in over a day. He was disoriented, drooling, hyper-sensitive to every sound and touch -- and the treatment that would have helped him sat in his medical chart, undelivered to us and un-acted on by the vet covering his care, as well as the vet on the overnight shift.

On Saturday morning, a different vet sat down, read the chart, saw what the specialists had recommended, and started the antibiotics and steroids. Within 90 minutes,Teddy fell asleep for the first time in 36 hours.
Read the shocking information I found out and more about Teddy's Story at TeddysStory.com and share your story.

Help me understand

You’re driving down the street & a car in the other lane wants to get over. They put on their signal & wait for you to yield a bit so they can get over. Unfortunately you don’t yield & rather than give space you take it what’s there. The other car still needs to get over, but you’ve purposefully blocked them out. Why? Does making someone else’s day just a little more difficult bring you joy? Help me to understand why you would intentionally blocked another vehicle? Wtf is wrong with you?

This can't be a good thing

When I'm in Sarasota, this is the turnaround point of my morning run. I noticed that the new housing development on Lakewood Ranch Blvd. near Fruitville, essentially dammed a tributary off of Orange Creek. While the creek is low right now, I've seen it crest its banks when Helene did its drive-by and dumped all that rain. That backed up into Celery Fields and elsewhere.

Sarasota Job Opportunities

Hi all, I am looking at getting some career guidance/suggestions and thought this might be a long shot. I am a 31 year old male living in Sarasota who is sick of the restaurant industry and needing to think about long term career options. My past experience is restaurant work, mainly in management roles, with a focus on the bar. Below is a list I compiled of my skills and desires. I plugged these items into ChatGPT and the pictures attached are the fine-tuned responses it gave me. So what I am asking from you all is:
A: Are there any recommendations you would give based upon my list?
B: Are you aware of any particular companies in the Sarasota area that are hiring that fit along my guidelines that either I or ChatGPT has mentioned?
C: Are there any options that are a “NO!” that I should avoid?

If you don’t want to read through the whole list, it basically says: “I am willing to do almost anything and learn new things for a company or role that promises growth and stability, and naturally, a desirable income.”

Thank you in advance for all of your suggestions!

The list:
What my experience is:
Restaurant and business management
Bar setup, training, and upkeep
Associates degree in general arts

What I am good at:
Efficiency
Organization
Problem solving
Policy and procedure creation
Understanding perspectives
Being empathetic
Becoming proficient in new tasks
Doing what I am told
Going above and beyond
Moving up to better positions

What I want in a career:
Money
Fulfillment
Flexibility
Benefits
Something more consistent than the restaurant industry

What my passions are:
Helping people
Giving my all as long as the reward is worth the sacrifice
Owning my own business?
Live music
Trying new places

I am not afraid to:
Get my hands dirty
Learn new things
Work as much as I need to to achieve my goal

What I am willing to try:
Something new and different as long as the pay suffices

What I do not want:
To stay in the restaurant industry
A boring old desk job

Hidden zipper in pant leg

Anyone know of a tailor that actively adds hidden zippers to pant legs? I got new pants and all my options had too small of a leg for me to roll up and access my leg to adjust socks.
