the latest in my shittytechnicals models series: Toyota MR2 with a Flakvierling 38 20mm AA gun

Once again, hoping I'm not breaking any rules by posting an imagined technical...!

Gun base welded to the rear-engine hood means absolutely zero maintenance access from above lol, so I guess in-world the mechanics are dropping the subframe for all engine work

Steel windshield inspired by a favourite old racing game called Powerslide, but also somewhat from those hectic cartel armored trucks

thanks to this subreddit for inspiration as always!

A convoy of vehicles belonging to the CDG's "Scorpions" passes by a destroyed armored vehicle; the driver is dressed as Santa Claus and is positioned next to a Barrett M82A1.

A rare photo of an US/ARVN captured M151 jeep with a mounted M60 used by the PAVN military control troops ( Vietnamese version of the military police ) during the Vietnamese war with the Khmer Rouge.

VLS container ship/"auxiliary cruiser" Zhongda 79(中达79) returning from her maritime trials. January 18, 2026, shanghai. (suprised nobody has posted this yet)

Photo 1 source: _老年_ on weibo

Photo 2 source: Xiaohongshu/rednote (no idea where, found it on weibo and it said xiaohongshu)

Intrestingly the containers have maritime related slogans such as "Make china's maritime power rejuvinate(aka make china's maritime strength great again)" and "create a common destiny for man and the ocean"

These aren't naval unit mottos so idk which branch this belongs to; it could very likely be the navy, or maybe national defense mobilization (militia).

Or, another theory i've seen online is this is a movie prop.

Amored Isuzu/Chevrolet MPR (Colombia)

It was originally offered to the Colombian army as an armored alternative to the usual non armored stakebed trucks for transport. However, no deal was ever made, and eventually, the vehicle (along some other later produced) were sold to banks’ cash-in-transit companies. (Not to mention that it looks like a potato)

Hey everyone! I'm u/ZaxZone, moderator at r/shippytechnicals!

What to Post:

This community is dedicated to waterborne technicals of all kinds.

These are watercraft that have been modified with weapons and armour not factory designed for them.

From modified cargo ships to weaponized barges if it’s a technical and it floats then it belongs here!
