want my wallpaper to swap automatically — a daytime version during the day and a nighttime version at night — without me doing it manually each time.
I know I can set it up with the Set Wallpaper action inside a Shortcut, but what’s the cleanest way to trigger it?

It may become outdated quite quickly, if it does, please comment.

some of the automations dont even trigger, even the basic ones like turning off low power when charging

someone else with this issues?

Can anyone help me to start an automation to turn on low power mode on the watch, whenever the Sleep Focus starts on my phone, and then, auto turn it off!?

I think one of the biggest limitations of Shortcuts is not having some sort of server support for running workflows on a cloud server, instead of only being able to perform a workflow locally. For a lot of workflows accessing data stored in iCloud or automations, having it run on-device only is a bottleneck.

I’d pay a little for a service offering cloud-backed Shortcut services, or it would be nice if they added it to the iCloud+ service - I would actually consider getting it then.

Does anyone else agree, or are there reasons you prefer Apple’s current approach? Are there other important features you think Apple could implement in Shortcuts not currently found in iOS 27?

Hi guys, i want automation shortcut, which gives an alarm when phone charged 85% or above 85% battery level i want an alarm trigger, only if the phone still charging.

and for the second part i want give my phone to alarm trigger when battery level go below 25% battery, and alarm only should ring only mobile is not charging or connected to the chager cable.

I have tried running couple of shortcuts i made but im stucked at alarm setting up part and failing everytime. much appriciate if u can give me clear breakdown of script thanks.

I’m trying to workout a way for the various “raise to wake” or “touch screen to wake” options can be switched off when the phone is connected to CarPlay,

I use the phone on the motorbike connected to a CarPlay display but with the phone in my pocket the general shaking of a bike switched the screen on so draining the battery quicker than it would normally,

I thought about using an automation to trigger a shortcut but I can seem to find/work out a way to disable the “raise to …/ touch screen …” options

What have I missed ?
Is it even possible ?

iOS/watchOS App Idea: Alert on Apple Watch or way to see if iPhone was unlocked during Sleep Focus

Why:
I want to know immediately if someone tries to unlock my phone while I’m asleep, since by the time I check my iPhone they could turn it off or silence notifications.

The problem:
iOS Shortcuts doesn’t have a “When Phone is Unlocked” automation trigger, so I can’t set this up natively. I need either:

• A custom iOS app using HealthKit/DeviceActivity frameworks
• An automation app (like Automation+, IFTTT, or similar) that supports phone unlock detection
• Any other solution that can detect phone unlocks and send Watch alerts

Has anyone built something like this or know if it’s possible?

I'm having a hard time find a option to use the label assigned to an alarm to automate actions. Is it possible to do this?? I'm hoping to send text messages when specific alarms go off, but the exact time changes daily

I am building a ride logger for my motorcycle, and I want to include distance driven, top speed, average speed etc.

I want it to start when i connect to my intercom, and stop when I disconnect from it (I already have shortcuts and automations for this, and log date, time, weather, starting location and end location etc).

Is there any apps that can log/track this?

If top speed, average speed and distance (not straight line between the locations, I need it to track the actual kilometers if I take a different route) can be logged to data jar, that is the most important.

If i can get a screenshot of the route on a map it would be even better, but not necessary.

I have a handful of watched folders used only for managing image files exported from my preferred editor. The folders are typically empty before they receive the images. Existing shortcuts accept the images files when they are exported to the watched folders and add them to a specified album in Photos.

I'd like to create a new shortcut that takes the same new image files and adds all of them to one new Note, adds a title to the note and possibly tags.

I have a few shortcuts that convert links from one music streaming service to another using the Odesli API.
