I’m hiring a remote video clipper to repurpose long educational content into short and medium clips. Long-term role.

This is not a timestamp-cutting job. I need someone with judgment.

You will work from:

• Canva board long-form videos, uploaded every 5 days
• Talking-head long-form videos, uploaded every 5 days
• Livestreams, whenever they happen

The long-form videos are guaranteed. Livestreams are random, but often have the best raw material.

Your job is to watch the full content, understand what is being said, and extract the strongest clips. Some videos will produce many good clips. Some will produce few. You should not follow a rigid quota. You need to think.

Clips will be:

• Short clips: 1 to 2 minutes, mostly vertical
• Longer clips: 5 to 8 minutes, horizontal

The skill is in selection and structure. You need to identify a good hook, the core idea, the supporting moments, and the clean ending. Sometimes the clip will come from one continuous section. Most of the time you will need to pull moments from different parts and join them so it feels like one clear piece.

Editing is light: cutting, compiling, pacing, basic framing. No heavy effects, colour grading, or motion graphics.

The content is specialised educational content. You do not need to know the topic already, but you must be intelligent enough to learn it. If you do not understand the ideas, you will not be able to clip them well.
