Skinstation 4d quattro & intensive whitening

Skin Type: Combination
Age/Gender: 23, F
Current skincare routine: Belfour
Main Concern: Hair and pigmentation
Budget: 6k for 6 sessions plus one free intensive whitening

Availed skinstation's 4D Quattrowave with one free intensive underarm whitening promo.

I don't have any photos of my underarm hair prior to this, but they were quite thick.

Only had one session so far with 4D quattro but l barely have any hair left! The procedure was also quick and painless because the aesthetician applied a generous amount of cooling gel.

Went back after two weeks to for the whitening (was told na you can't have both laser and whitening in one session because of skin sensitivity issues)

Overall, I love the results even though I saw a lot of bad reviews from reddit/google.

4D quattrowave: Hair growth after one session was minimal to none. Will go back after the six week interval.

Intensive whitening: Feeling ko nawala na agad chicken skin ko, lol. Was told that I have to do it once a month lang so I might get more if ever they'll release a promo just for whitening.

Is this purging? 5th week in adapelene.

Skin Type: Combination

Age/Gender: 16M

AM - Cetaphil Gentle cleanser, Celeteque Moisturizer, Cetaphil sunscreen SPF 50 or Skin1004 SPF 50+++.

PM - Celeteque Facial wash, Celeteque Moisturizer, Adapelene, Moisturizer.

Main concern: Purging from Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% in the 5th week of using it. I feel like the purging is pretty harsh. I use it 2–3 times a week. Now I'm only using it twice a week due to stinging when I apply moisturizer. Should I keep going? I'm scared that if I stop suddenly, the adapalene results will just go back to zero if I use it again.

small pimples on my chin

Skin Type: oily acne prone skin

Age/Gender: 21F

Current Skincare Routine: G2g blueberry cleanser, dermavigha sunscreen, Klued Azelaic Acid (pero every other day lang), and Ever Organics Snail Aloe Soothing Gel.

Lifestyle Factors: always puyat

Budget: ₱300 (or might reconsider 500 if necessary)

Additional Info:

Hello, I've only recently used the klued azelaic acid one and so far my skin cleared up (as per my brother). Pero the thing is yung chin ko talaga tinutubuan ng malalaking pimps and it keeps on coming back. Pag nag heal na, ayun tutubuan na naman and I'm so tired of this huhu. And meron ding small pimples sa chin as seen in the pic. Not sure if it's sebaceous filaments or closed comedones??.. and I've only use salicylic acid cleansers way before my glad2glow cleanser since madami nag suggest sa tiktok.. did not work sadly, siguro naging damage lang lalo yung skin barrier ko sa salicylic acid. Thank you!

please help me with my insecurities

for context, nagkaroon po ako ng bulutong noong bata ako at hindi po ako nasabihan na kapag kinamot pala ay magkakaroon siya ng lubog resulting to these.

i am F21 and as time goes by napapansin ko na parang dumadami po yung lubog sa mukha ko and medyo nalaki yung pores ko simula nung lagi po akong nag jojoyride and also, laging may redness yung malapit po sa nose ko and always siyang dry. i don’t know what to do po since oily ako yet may dry part yung mukha ko

i just survived depression kaya right now all i want is alagaan naman po yung physical appearance ko

please suggest treatments, skincare, routine, or supplements i should take para gumanda or umayos yung skin ko

if may marerecommend po kayong trusted derma or aesthetic clinic around taytay, angono, binangonan, or antipolo please pa drop po hehe

skin type: oily/sensitive

i use: celeteque micellar water, luxe organics shine free, hyaluron white, & dermaction plus

Hard time finding tretinoin lately

Skin Type: Oily Acne Prone

Age/Gender: 40/M

Currenr Skincare Routine: AM - Cleanser, Azaleic Acid, Sunscreen. PM - Cleanser, Tretinoin, Moisturizer

Main Concern: Acne

Lifestyle Factors: N/A

Budget: N/A

Additional Info: N/A

I've been trying to restock my tretinoin (0.05% cream), but it seems to be out of stock everywhere. I've already checked multiple Mercury Drug and Watsons branches, and none of them have it. Some branches even told me they haven't received new stock yet.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

If you've been able to buy tretinoin recently, where did you get it? I'm only interested in buying from reputable pharmacies or legitimate sources. I'd rather avoid Shopee, Lazada, or other unofficial sellers because I'm concerned about authenticity.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can antihistamines make Chronic Hives even WORSE?

Skin Type: Hives/CIU
Age/Gender: 25/Female
Current Skincare Routine: Antihistamine & Moisturizer
Main Concern: Can antihistamines make Chronic Hives even WORSE?
Lifestyle Factors: antihistamines or Unknown triggers
Budget: -
Additional Info:

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure where to post, but here it goes. I’m in my early 20s, and I’ve been suffering from chronic hives for over ten years now, ever since I was a kid. Usually, I get them 2 to 3 times a week, mostly from my shoulders down.

Growing up with this in the Philippines was tricky. It wasn't that my parents couldn't afford to take me to a specialist - they definitely could have-but like most people here, they just automatically assumed it was a standard food allergy. They would constantly try to figure out what "trigger food" I ate, even though for the life of me, I would still get breakouts without eating anything unusual at all. Because CIU is so unheard of here, everyone just defaults to blaming a meal.

I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and invest in a proper specialist consultation recently because of my new job. Appearance matters a lot in my line of work, and let's face it, having a visible rash isn't always seen as "presentable" in professional or social settings here. The doctor confirmed what I suspected and told me I likely have Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (CIU), chronic hives with no known daily cause.

During my consult, I made sure to tell the doctor about a strange pattern I’ve noticed since childhood: whenever I took an over-the-counter allergy pill (antihistamine), my hives actually seemed to get much worse. Because of that, I always avoided them unless the itching was completely unbearable.

To try and treat the CIU, my doctor prescribed a daily antihistamine for two weeks straight. Here is what happened:

  • Week 1: Instead of getting hives every few days, I had severe rashes every single day of the week. There were zero clear days.
  • Week 2: I updated my doctor, so they added steroids to my prescription to calm the skin down. Sadly, it didn't help at all. Even at night when my skin usually settles, the hives stayed active. I now wake up with them fully flared.

The most worrying part is that my hives have spread. Before starting these medications, the rash never went above my shoulders. Now, for the first time in my life, they are all over my neck and my face.

My doctors told me it’s highly unlikely that the medication is causing this, because these specific drugs are supposed to stop rashes, not make them worse. I totally respect my medical team and know they want to help me find relief, but my body is reacting so strongly.

Since CIU doesn't seem very common here in the PH, I feel a bit lost. Have any fellow Pinoys with CIU experienced anything like this? Is it actually possible for allergy pills or standard treatments to turn into a trigger and make a flare-up worse?

Would really appreciate any insights or shared experiences. Thank you so much!

Has anyone tried this cream to lighten their underarms?

My dermatologist prescribed this for my dark underarms. I’ve already tried laser whitening, but I still have a few dark patches that won’t go away. She said this is a bleaching cream.
Has anyone here tried this? I’d love to hear about your experience. Did it work for you, and how long did it take before you noticed results?

My Acne Before & After

Skin Type: Combination skin type
Age/Gender: 24F
Current Skincare Routine: The Ordinary, CeraVe & Thayers
Main Concern: Acne
Lifestyle Factors: Stress, Environment, Hormones
Budget: Php 3,000-3,500
Additional Info:

Just want to share the things that saved my face from my acne for 3 years. This before picture wasn’t even the worst of it. I couldn’t find the worst one bc I didn’t like taking pictures of myself that time because my acne was THAT BAD.

I used to go to dermatologist pa to treat my face n all, but it just got worse esp with all the products they recommended me. Until pandemic and tiktok happened. I discovered The Ordinary and CeraVe and OMLLL it did wonders to my face along with Thayers Toner. That one was a gift from my stepsister who also suffered from hormonal acne. She gave me the Thayers toner, the cucumber one. I partnered it with The Ordinary Niacinimide every morning and night. CeraVe moisturizer for Day and for Night. I use The Ordinary AHA BHA once a week, I leave it on my face for 10 mins then i’ll wash my face and that’s when i start my everyday skincare routine. That’s it. it was literally just 5 products. (also clean your environment like your room and your bedsheets n everything)

I will never stop recommending this to my friends and other people bc it literally saved my face huhu 🩵

Weird Red Spots Started Growing Around the Abdomen

Skin Type: Face is Oily. Body is normal.
Age/Gender: 30F
Current Skincare Routine: Tried taking a bath with Nizoral. Didnt seem to work.
Main Concern: Weird Red Spots started Growing under the breasts then spreading to her neck back and hands but not the legs yet.
Lifestyle Factors: a work from home girly for around 8 years and these red spots started growing right after we all got a flu which was a month ago.
Budget: Doesnt matter much
Additional Info:
She has PCOS. These itchy red spots, however, started growing under her breasts then started spreading from there. It started reaching her back then hands. Her belly button is inflamed. Her cysts on the other hand have been there for many years already. Help on identifying and treatment would be really appreciated!

Ps: I'm not just going to rely on comments and believe that's the answer to everything. Of course, I'll trust the dermatologist more, but I want to understand what makes these different diagnoses and treatments possibly right or wrong when I inquire a derma, so I can feel more confident that what the derma is saying is most likely correct. After all, if I go to one I would want to make it count. It’s sad to see that I actually have to state this but I really want people to understand my side rather than making assumptions.

It feels wrong to me that some users or even doctors here are aggressive about seeing a doctor which is the correct thing to do ofc but as someone who has spent over 10k on a derma because of a wrong treatment plan, have some empathy din naman especially to a patient like me. It seems so ignorant to me to just go in a checkup blind rather than see the possible causes and it seems very Accusatory that I would just rely on some reddit comment way more than a doctor. Perhaps mali ang wording ko, but even so, dont assume things about me. I have already seen and experienced multiple aggressive and manipulative doctors who have made my visit feel like a pain in the ass, yet I still stayed with some of them because I truly believed in the knowledge that they have garnered for a decade.

The person in the photo has already been insecure about the bumps and really wants to know whats happening. Im sure im not the only one who wants to know more about whats happening to their body. Tho my post isnt strict about budget, i still want to know more about what the possible diagnosis could be so we can learn more about it then inquire the derma about it. It just seems so unfair that other posts are receiving actual answers while this one gets berated on instead.

That is the reason why im asking for second opinions before seeing my derma. Im sure those who are struggling to even pay for their treatment can also relate what im experiencing. Questions such as “What if the new derma i have been paying for is wrong just like the last one?” “What if the disease could have been what this other derma ik have been saying?” “What if the treatment doesnt work, what will i do now?” That is why i would want to ask the derma during the actual checkup on what they think about these theories and treatment plans and why they could be wrong so i can learn more about it. Im not someone who visits the derma often but if i were to visit one i would want to make it count.

Referrals or guesses on the diagnosis is appreciated. If ur just gunna say go see a doctor, then dont even comment at all. I already know that.

[NO EDIT] my 2024 vs. 2026 skin

Skin Type: combination skin type
Age/Gender: F 21
Current Skincare Routine: kojie san soap + body lotion
Main Concern: dark skin tone / hyperpigmentation
Lifestyle Factors: stress, insecurity
Budget: Php 150 - 300

Additional Info:
looking back at these two photos, it’s crazy how much can change in just by being consistent. as someone na impatient girly ever since 😆, i never thought hihiyang sakin 'tong randomly suggested soap ng mom ko haha.

on the left (January 2024), i remember feeling insecure pa. hindi naman sa ayaw ko yung skintone ko—I actually love my natural skin tone. i was just really going through it back then and hindi ko maalagaan yung sarili ko properly.

fast forward to now (right). nag-work din talaga yung pagiging consistent sa simpleng routine, and mas nag-glow lang talaga siya ngayon. moving past the stress and insecurities is still a work in progress, but seeing this reminds me to be kinder to myself.

i loved my skin then, but i love it even more now that it feels healthier and happier ✨

help how to get rid of pores

Skin Type: Oily
Age/Gender: 20F
Current Skincare Routine: Kojic only
Main Concern: Pores
Lifestyle Factors: Stress, Environment, Hormones
Budget: 1000-2000
Additional Info:

Never pa ko nakaka pagpaderma because of budget na rin. Hirap din ako mag ipon because naka brace ako and my adjustment costs 1k and minsan yung other expense pa like pasta and cleaning sagot ko rin, eh student palang ako.

hindi rin ako mahilig mag make up. umaalis lang ako ng may concealer sa under eyes and yun na talaga yon, or kahit minsan wala na talagang naka lagay sa face ko.

Deodorant Reco for girlies w/ active lifestyle

Skin Type: Combination Age/Gender: 26F Current Skincare Routine: milcu blue Main Concern: underarm sweat & stenchhh Lifestyle Factors: papawis sports: running, hiking, pickleball, swimming Budget: below 1k. desperate lol Additional Info:

HELP: Need deodorant recos.

I have been using Milcu for years, the sports variant (blue one) for my everyday deo. It worked on me until nagbago na sila ng formulation. Minsan na aamoy ko na na may bad scent na ko especially pag nagpa pawis, and na iiirritate na UA

I play sports. I was wondering if you guys have recos sa deo para sakin. Should I have 2 deos? 1 for sport days and 1 for regular basis? Nagiingat ako na umitim UA ko kaya as much as I could, umiiwas ako sa scented deos. Should I try out mens’ deos for sport days? I’m so clueless!

Pls help your girl out. Milcu betrayed us alllll!! :’)))

need help to whiten underarms

Skin Type: combination
Age/Gender: 16 Female
Current Skincare Routine: dove deo and Deoplus powder
Main Concern: dark underarm hyperpigmentation only
Lifestyle Factors: Active athlete
Budget: 1k
Additional Info: None

I believe this all started when my mother gave me rexona as a pre-teen that made my underarm darken. And as a desperate teenager, I tried to use everything I saw. I have used the clarity cream, organic skin deo, and dermorepubliq duo. When using all of these, parang pumuputi sya sa una tas iitim lang din sa dulo. At the moment, hinahayaan ko nalang underarm ko kasi baka mas lalong umitim pa. Pero I want to try the soul apothecary glycolic acid.

Girlies please help me🥲 I just want to wear sleeveless in public!
