best phone for watching movies and series and is a foldable actually worth it for media?

watch a lot of content on my phone. commuting, lunch breaks, evenings when I don't want to sit in front of the telly. currently on a mid-range Android and the screen is fine but nothing special.

been looking at foldables for a while. the idea of a proper tablet-sized display in my pocket for Netflix and long train journeys sounds genuinely useful. main things I'm unsure about are whether the crease is distracting during films and how the display holds up for HDR content.

the aspect ratio when unfolded also seems better suited for widescreen than a standard slab. and speaker quality is something I keep seeing mixed things about depending on the model.

anyone using a foldable as their main media device and finding it worth the premium?

OnePlus 13S vs Vivo X300 FE vs Galaxy S26 — Which one would you choose?

In my country, the OnePlus 13S (256GB) costs around 35,000 EGP (~$700), while both the Vivo X300 FE and Samsung Galaxy S26 cost around 50,000 EGP (~$1,000).

The Vivo X300 FE comes with an official local warranty, while the OnePlus 13S has an international warranty.

My main priorities are camera and battery life. The Vivo has slightly better cameras and slightly better battery life than the OnePlus, while the S26 has Samsung's software experience and features.

Do you think the better cameras, local warranty, and slightly better battery life on the Vivo are worth paying the extra $300 compared to the OnePlus?

The camera is especially important to me because I really enjoy taking portrait photos.

Which one would you pick: OnePlus 13S, Vivo X300 FE, or Galaxy S26?

What are some of your non-negotiable when it comes to a phone case?

I’m curious as to what your perfect phone case would be. I’ve mostly lived in the Apple world but as a product developer, I’d be interested in how different device users view the accessories you like to use. Thanks in advance!

Is it normal for phones to have drawings in them with pen and markers?

I'm not sure where to ask this but I decided to open up my old Samsung a40 which has been broken for a while but has never been opened before. I noticed there is an x and a checkmark drawn in the top and a question mark in the bottom (not visible on the picture) and wondered how or why it's there

Suggest me a good phone to buy in August 2026.

I am looking for a smartphone which is a value for money, can last for around 3-4 years without software or hardware damages, can be used for average level gaming and office work and camera quality is good if not best.
Budget is flexible but not looking a phone only for showoff (if value for money, then it works even if price is high)

Compare Samsung S26, Oppo X9s, Pixel 11, one plus 15, iphone 17 or any other?

I am from India, looking for a new smartphone currently using one plus 10R 5G. My screen time is around 6-8 hours. I do around 3-4 hours office work, 2-3 hours casual gaming, rest 1-2 hours use for instagram, youtube, and other ott entertainment. My camera usage is also quite casual and not professional. Please suggest me a good smartphone. (I dont lean towards brands i want value for money product).

Expert Opinion. Good phones Under 10K or around 10K

I'm currently on a saving spree for a new phone.

Currently using Itel S23 4G and want a MASSIVE upgrade from this phone. I ask a lots of people and searched online and most of the people there have mixed opinion about some certain phones na good pero sabi nila bad (some ghost touch, overheating shi).

So I'm asking people here in reddit (i trust people's opinion here) for good phones under or around 10K.

Specs i want

8GB RAM

256 Internal

Possibly 5G

Good Chipset for moderate to heavy gaming

Good Software and Camera.

Gonna buy it during December for discounts. Thanks everyone!!!!!

Galaxy Vs. Pixel features

I’m currently looking to switch from an iPhone to an android. I usually switch back-and-forth every few years and I’ve always preferred a pixel when I’m using android but I have to admit that the galaxy fold eight really talks to me.

One of the main reasons that I wanted to switch from my iPhone back to android is because of the terrible keyboard and voice dictation on iOS these days

I’ve always felt that Google pixels were always just more simple and smarter in many ways.

I don’t like the redundant apps on my iPhone and know Samsung also has redundant apps, but I think I could probably hide those into the background with customization

I guess my main question is that while Google pixels are known to be superior with voice dictation and keyboard is the galaxy line significantly worse or is it just one step worse?

I can’t stand the iOS, keyboard, and voice texting anymore

I do think a lot of the early features that tend to be reserved for pixels tend to not be a big of a deal as you think they would be so I’m not too concerned about that

I really just wanna make sure the core experience of typing and generally a smarter phone is there if I decide to go with the Samsung

iQOO Z11 5G is launching in India tomorrow (August 20) — what do you think?

The Z11 5G is expected to start under ₹35,000 and comes with some interesting specs for the mid-range segment:

India’s first MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo 5G processor

• 6.83-inch 1.5K 144Hz 3D curved AMOLED display

• 50MP Sony IMX882 OIS + 8MP ultrawide

• 4K video recording from both front and rear cameras

• Huge 7,050mAh battery with 44W charging

• IP68 + IP69 water and dust resistance

• MIL-STD-810H shock resistance

• Up to 144fps gaming support

One thing to keep in mind: iQOO has previously used the Z11 5G name for a different phone in markets such as Malaysia and Thailand. The phone launching tomorrow is specifically the Indian variant.

Do you think the Z11 5G can be one of the better phones under ₹35K in India?

Smartphone that is popular and cheap (maybe used?) -- good isn't needed

Six months ago I bought a super cheap 4G smartphone and plan with a physical SIM so I could put the SIM in my router that I set to have the same IMEI as the smartphone. This is purely as a backup so that if something goes wrong with my main router SIM I can still have limited internet access. It worked great. I am going to do it again with a new router.

What I want to know is a model of smartphone with a physical SIM (dual SIMS would be even better) that is super popular, or maybe that was super popular a year or two ago. Something that pretty much every carrier sees a lot of. If it's something they made a lot of but is now being replaced with a newer model, there should be a lot of them available on the used market.

So, what physical SIM smartphone is/was the most popular?

Advice pls

Hi everyone, I've been going back and forth for the past few days and can't decide which phone to buy. I'm mostly torn between the Motorola Signature and the Xiaomi 17T Pro

and Xiaomi 17

The 17T Pro is slightly cheaper. I travel a lot, and the camera is important to me, but not the absolute deciding factor. The Motorola Signature deal comes bundled with a smartwatch, a Moto Tag, a 125W charger, and earphones, while the Xiaomi deal gets you an air fryer lol

So please help me out, I've been breaking my head over these two phones for days

Which phone is the best ?

Wich phone is the best between:

-Samsung galaxy S24+

-Samsung galaxy S25

-Google Pixel 10

-Google Pixel 9 pro

I want a good camera (I like the quality of the S22 for exemple but I want a most recent phone) and being able to have a lot of app without any lags, I don't really play games or not ones who needs a lot of performances, the last game I played was KingShot.

I actually have a Samsung S20FE.

Question about cellphones. Which one do you recommend me to buy?

I've been thinking about which phone to buy for a long time. For a while, I was pretty set on an iPhone 17 Pro Max, but after watching a lot of videos, I became more and more convinced that it wasn't worth it. I saw all that stuff about it being more for content creators and such, but that doesn't really matter to me. I was mainly interested in the camera, but I don't think there's any difference compared to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. And even though I know I'm mostly paying for the brand, I still feel a bit uneasy about getting the iPhone. So I started thinking about getting a Samsung

After looking at different comparisons, I decided that the S26 Ultra and the S25 Ultra are practically the same, and since I can get the S25 Ultra cheaper, I decided to go for that one. But I'm still undecided because, after doing some more research, I also came across Motorola's latest phone: the Moto Edge 70 Pro. The price of this phone is significantly lower than the Samsung S25 Ultra and the iPhone 17, and from what I've seen, it performs better than both of them. Of course, I'm not trying to compare a Motorola Edge 17 Pro with an iPhone 17 Pro Max because the iPhone is the most powerful phone currently available, but the Motorola is definitely a much better option because, at a lower price, it offers practically the same features as the iPhone or the Samsung S25 Ultra, plus the battery lasts longer, and some other things. Even so, I couldn't decide on the Motorola, as I don't get that "feeling" of owning a high-end phone, like I would with the S25 Ultra, for example

Now, what I want to know is... What's your opinion on this? Which phone would you choose? What experiences have you had with these phones? I'd like to hear your perspective on the matter!

Best Android phone with good camera for 600€/694USD max ?

Hello everyone!

I currently have a Samsung S20FE 4G which is now very slow, and it no longer receives updates. The camera isn't the best either.

I'm looking for an Android phone with good performance and a good camera. I was initially thinking about a Google Pixel 10, but people seem to have mixed opinions about it, saying its performance is hit-or-miss and that it has bugs.

For comparison, my partner has a Samsung S22 and I'm happy with its camera quality, but I'd like a newer phone with a larger screen.

I mainly use the camera to take photos of animals, landscapes, and occasionally family and friends.

I also sometimes takes videos of concert with zoom.

My maximum budget is €600 ($694 USD), but cheaper would be great! I'm open to buying a refurbished phone in excellent condition.

Thanks in advance for your help!
