NFL QB Jaxson Dart: “I'm grateful, I'm honored, I'm pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”
Who is the biggest what-if in the history of baseball?
Me, personally, I thought of five men: Mickey Mantle, Mike Trout, Ken Griffey Jr., Ted Williams and Sandy Koufax. Four of these men (Mantle, Trout, Griffey and Koufax) were beset by constantly injury which hurt their overall career numbers, whereas Williams' career stats were blunted by military service in World War II as well as the Korean War.
I've always wonder how insane all five of these men's career stats and legacies would've looked had their career been allowed to continue unimpeded.
Shohei Ohtani homered on the first pitch and threw five scoreless innings as the Dodgers shut out the Padres
Paul Skenes’ real cheat code isn’t just velocity. It’s how long he hides the ball before it suddenly appears at 98 mph. How is anyone supposed to hit this?
The most feared batter in baseball history.
Felt a sharp pain in arm just looking at this
Dana White's Power Slap league. A thing that exists for some reason.
Seiya Suzuki’s wife might’ve thrown the craziest ceremonial first pitch I’ve ever seen. The balance and flexibility is insane.
Would Albert Belle get your vote for the Baseball Hall of Fame?
Albert Belle was one of the best pure hitters of his day, combining high batting average with huge home run pop and good eye at the plate. He went to the All Star Game five times and placed in AL MVP voting seven times, his highest placement being 2nd in 1995 (losing out to Mo Vaughn). In 2000, it looked like he might be on his way to the Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, a hip injury put a stop to that. I think, though, that his career numbers are still worth at least a look for induction into Cooperstown:
40.1 WAR
974 R
1726 H
389 2B
381 HR
1239 RBI
.295 BA
.369 OBP
.564 SLG
.933 OPS
144 OPS+
What side do you guys lean on?
