Anyone know what’s wrong

This is the first time I’ve seen a squirrel so young by itself. Started seeing him about a week or two ago, but just got close enough to see he has these bumps on his face and red itchy spots . Also the red lump under his belly (don’t know if that’s gonads or somethin else) anyone know what could be going on?

Her Tail Was Almost Gone… But She Refused to Give Up

The true story of Wisp, one of Sheba’s daughters who was born with almost no fur on her tail. All winter I kept an eye on her, trying small things to support her health: a little coconut oil on her food, squirrel vitamins, a deer antler for extra calcium, and an occasional mist of Essential Fatty Acid spray for fur health. I even put out a small pet warming mat and a small electric heater as well during winter storms.

Even though these things made me feel like I was helping, the truth is that squirrels are incredibly resilient. When spring arrived, nature took over, and Wisp’s tail began to regrow beautifully all on its own. Her recovery is a reminder that sometimes the strongest healing comes from the mother nature herself.

A Baby Squirrel Was Crying for Her Family… Until I Helped

Pastina, our little juvenile squirrel, was crying nonstop in the yard today. She was calling out for her mom Fluff and her brother Tortellini, clearly upset and looking for her family.

When I walked over to check on her, she kept crying, until I offered her some of the Squirrel Power Mix. The moment she realized she was safe, she stopped crying and started eating happily.

A short while later, her mom Fluff appeared, grabbed a few snacks, and headed off again.

Moments like this show just how emotional and expressive squirrels can be, especially the young ones. Pastina is such a sweet little soul. 🐿️💛

Ground Squirrel joins the Splish N Splash Swim Club for Walnut Wednesdays

Mellie stopped by the Splish N Splash Swim Club this morning and discovered a fresh delivery of giant walnuts waiting in the fountain. One at a time, she grabbed each walnut, all of them hilariously bigger than her head, and hauled them off like a tiny, determined treasure hunter. Watching her balance those oversized walnuts while keeping an eye on the water makes this one of her cutest (and most ambitious) walnut runs yet.

It’s 86 Degrees Outside… and Queen Sheba Is Investigating the Solar Water Fountain

Sheba was the only one interested in exploring the solar water fountain on this 86‑degree afternoon. I set the little fountain on the ground with two rocks to keep it steady and placed a few hazelnuts on top. Simple setup… surprisingly dramatic results.

Sheba walks up, takes a sip like she’s at a tiny outdoor spa, and then notices the hazelnut sitting in the splash zone. She closes her eyes, tries to grab it with her teeth, gets misted in the face over and over, and finally switches to paw‑mode to pull it closer. Once she gets her prize, she climbs the fence with it like she’s sneaking off after a successful heist.

When you face a challenge in life always remember you’re allowed to take your time. What matters is that you don’t stop.

The pasta siblings are at it again with their cuteness

The pasta siblings, Tortellini and Pastina, are back and somehow even cuter than last time. In this clip, the two juvenile fluffballs spend their morning doing what they do best: being an overload of tiny affection.

You’ll see Tortellini wrap his little arms around his sister, Pastina lean in for tiny squirrel kisses, and both of them make those soft, squeaky juvenile squirrel noises that could melt steel. They groom each other’s fur, tumble around in playful hugs, and basically act like the world’s most adorable sibling duo.

If you needed a mood boost, this is it, pure, gentle, heart healing sweetness from two juvenile squirrels who think cuddles are a competitive sport.

Splootellini: a pasta that comes pre‑flattened

Tortellini showed up hungry and immediately went full sploot mode on the table, legs stretched behind him like he owned the place.
