I'm currently almost finished with my DIY project: a "Smart home for squirrels."

It features a NoIR camera with autofocus, 4 IR LEDs with a 940 nm wavelength (invisible to squirrels), a light sensor, and a heated floor using an IR heating foil.

I’ve placed a temperature sensor in the middle of the floor (see photo) and a temperature/humidity sensor on the wall near the ceiling, allowing me to control the heating power and adjust the floor temperature based on the internal climate.

What temperature would be comfortable for squirrels during cold winter frosts? It won't get too hot anyway—when running at full power, the foil feels comfortably warm to my bare hand.
