Is American corporate culture really like it is in the show?

Several things that have caught my attention:
- staying up all night in the office to do the work
- coming to work at 7 am and leaving at 10 pm
- expensive gifts obsession
- humiliating associates as a form of training

Is it common in the office life in New York? Or does the show exaggerate this culture?

Louis and Gretchen

Man I really love the chemistry between this two!! What’s your favourite scene with the two of them?

Mine would be when Gretchen told Louis “this is gonna take a lot of time and effort on your part, go to her goddamn office and ask her” when he was trying to get her back from Faye

Louis Katrina Spin-off

Who else feels the Louis & Katrina dynamic duo was spin-off worthy- has the potential to be a sweet, sweet combo of a 40s screwball comedy / disturbingly unhinged- oh the potential is endless!

Completed 7 seasons in 2 weeks, first series after Breaking Bad that hooked me so much, but 8th season is so dry and just feels like a filler season :(

I assume Mike will be back in 10th episode in 8th season?

Louis Litt should of had more aura moments

Hello, I was wondering if anyone agrees with me. Louis Litt should have had better development and more growth in the later seasons he should have had more presence.

What I mean is, I love the scene with Jessica, Harvey, and Louis all sitting around discussing net worth they seem equal. But when Louis was pretending to be Harvey and doing all that stuff, I hated it. After becoming senior partner, they could have shown him as a top-tier lawyer, not losing a major case for the firm just because the opposing lawyer brought up his cat.

I wish we could have seen more scenes of Louis, maybe winning over Robert Zane or even going up against Travis Tanner and coming out on top.

Anyway, am I the only one who feels this way?

Why did Robert Zane dislike Jessica and Harvey?

In the earlier seasons before Rachel got involved with Mike they sort of had this rivalry, was it just because he saw them as competition?

When to stop watching?

Im at the start of season 3 and the show is becoming slightly tedious, reusing plot points like mike and harvey fighting and then making up again. Without spoilers is there a good exit point soon? Or should I just drop it?

Why did kidnappers sign Harvey's deal S01E05

I just started watching suits. So far good show.

Now I have a question, why did Trevor's kidnappers sign the deal? They threatened Harvey with murder. Yeah they are not fond of police, they seem to be just thugs, but they do carry, and they are not above assault and kidnapping, or barging into company (obviously) full of security cameras to intimidate Mike.

So they don't seem to be that aware, or smart, to understand the consequences, and they DO threaten both Trevor and Harvey.

It just seems soooo "white knight". Stupid people that are violent and owed 50k (at least) do not think rationally especially when they are threatened by someone in suit.

Why do you think they didn’t do this

Why didn’t they have Harvey go to jail instead of Mike? Wouldn’t that have been way more interesting?

Finished season 2. Too many thoughts.

First of all, Daniel Hardman turned out to be even worse than I expected. I already disliked him, but finding out he was responsible for so much of the chaos, including the memo situation that got Donna fired, was insane. Poor Donna honestly. Looking back, her whole storyline feels even sadder knowing how much she got dragged into someone else's mess.

Speaking of that, Louis confronting Hardman was one of my favourite moments of the season. My relationship with Louis continues to be the most unstable thing on this show. One episode I hate him, the next I love him. His endless charm doesn't help either! Seeing him finally stand up to Hardman was genuinely satisfying.

And Hardman getting pushed out of the firm? Inject it directly into my veins. Watching Jessica and everyone else finally put him in his place was so satisfying after all the manipulation and scheming.

The gender discrimination case was also really interesting and gave the season a different flavour from all the firm politics.

But the biggest thing for me is Mike.

It feels like his actions are finally catching up to him. For two seasons he's somehow managed to stay ahead of disaster, but the finale felt like the first time there were real consequences. Losing his associate position genuinely shocked me and now I have no idea where the show goes from here.

Harvey is still my favourite character, Jessica is amazing, Donna has fully won me over, and Louis remains the most confusing character I've ever watched.

Anyway, I'm starting Season 3 soon.

Louis in Season 4

Louis literally loses his ever loving mind in season 4 after he gets fired and then finds out about Mike.
I think most of why he’s so mad is because he’s always feeling inadequate and never feels fully accepted by Harvey, Jessica etc. He’s been desperate for their approval for years and Mike instantly was taken under Harvey’s wing. and then to find out he didn’t even go to law school, and everyone knew except him, and everyone protected Mike for years just makes Louis spiral. He’s insanely jealous of Mike, and that’s what makes him act like such an asshole.

What was the catalyst to the feud with Jessica and Harvey?

Just finished Season 2 Ep 16 WAR and without future spoilers I don’t really get what caused the issue with Jessica and Harvey?

I get that Hardman sorta planted the seeds in Jessica mind that Harvey would come for her like she came for him. And he planted the seeds that Jessica didn’t trust Harvey. But was that the only thing that caused the relationship to change? Why is Harvey so against merging if Jessica would have mad him a Managing Partner?

First time watching so if we can avoid future spoilers I’d appreciate it
